Retailers Expanding In Florida


Delhaize America, Inc. trades as Food Lion at 1,300 locations in DE, FL, GA, KY, MD, NC, SC, TN, VA, WV and PA. The supermarkets occupy spaces of 45,000 sq.ft. in strip or power centers. Plans call for 180 openings in the coming 18 months. Expansion will take place in the existing markets. Leases running 20 years with options are typical, and specific improvements are required. A land area of four and one-half to six acres is required.
