Horizon Realty Services, Inc. (312-917-8870) purchased Childs Realty Group. Stuart B. Lenhoff and Barry Millman, both formerly associated with Childs, are principals of the new company. Peter Childs and Jamie Childs also sold their controlling interests in Horizon Management, Construction and Development to Lenhoff and Millman. Childs Realty, a 20-year-old full service real estate company, represents more than 50 retail centers encompassing nearly three million sq.ft. of retail space.

 

Robinson Sigma Commercial Real Estate Inc. (757-490-3300) announces that Kevin A. DiBona has been named president of the Commercial Real Estate Council, the commercial arm of the Tidewater Association of Realtors. He will oversee the association’s general affairs, preside at all meetings, serve as a spokesperson and help formulate policies and programs furthering the association’s goals. DiBona, a senior broker, specializes in the investment sale of retail, office and flex properties throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

 

The Nutrition Club (412-490-2929), a regional vitamin and mineral supplement chain, announced that Dan O’Connell has been appointed vice president of real estate. O’Connell had been senior director of real estate for General Nutrition Centers since 1992. During his tenure, GNC opened more than 1,500 stores. He was previously national real estate manager for Sunglass Hut International.

 

CB Richard Ellis/Sturges (219-424-8448) announces that William Martin has rejoined the company as managing director/partner.

 

CB Richard Ellis (847-948-6940) announces the promotion of Todd Caruso to managing director of retail property services in the Central and Eastern regions of the U.S. In the newly-created position, Caruso will oversee development of real estate teams that will provide clients with integrated services across geographic boundaries: including brokerage, property management, investment and financial services. Caruso joined the firm in 1983 and most recently served as managing director of retail brokerage services in the Midwestern region.
