SC Properties, LLC plans to develop San Luis Obispo Marketplace, a 510,000 sq.ft. shopping center located near Highway 101 and the Prado Road freeway interchange in San Luis Obispo, CA. Space is available. The project is slated to be anchored by Target and Lowe’s. Development is contingent on the project’s receiving final approval from the city council later this year.

North American Properties is currently developing Makato Heights Plaza, a 350,000 sq.ft. power center located in Mankato, MN anchored by Wal*Mart, Kohl’s Old Navy and Michael’s. A summer 2001 opening is planned. The company is developing Plymouth MarketPlace, a 96,000 sq.ft. shopping center located in Plymouth, MN anchored by Lund’s supermarket. A Summer 2001 opening is planned. The company is developing Stonecrest MarketPlace, a 450,000 sq.ft. power center with 10 anchor tenants slated to open concurrently with The Mall at Stonecrest during the fall of 2001. The company is developing The MarketPlace at Mill Creek, a 575,000 sq.ft., power center located in Gwinnett County, GA. Anchors include Toys ‘R’ Us, Borders, Linens ‘N’ Things, Michael’s, OfficeMax, PETsMART, Pier One and TGI Friday’s. Phase II is slated for a Fall 2000 opening. The company is developing Houston Commons, a 296,000 sq.ft. power center scheduled to open during 2001. The company is developing Sunrise MarketPlace, a 320,000 sq.ft. power center with five anchor tenants slated to open during Fall, 2001. The company is also developing Delano MarketPlace, a 65,000 sq.ft. shopping center located in Delano, MN anchored by Coburn’s supermarket. A Summer 2001 opening is planned.

Michael Antkies Real Estate is handling the pre-leasing of a proposed 45,000 sq.ft. to 80,000 sq.ft. retail site of 6.8 acres located on Route 59 near Route 303 in West Nyack, NY. The project is situated across from Filene’s at The Palisades Shopping Center. The company will ground lease or build to suit. Demographics show a population of 580,253 residing within 10 miles earning $72,747 as the median household income.

CNM Associates is developing Ashbrook Commons, a 2.225 million sq.ft. multi-use center located on Route Seven in Ashburn, VA. Anchor, small shop and outparcel space is available. The project will consist of a 225,000 sq.ft shopping center, more than 300 single-family homes, 500 multi-family homes and 2 million sq.ft. of office space. The daily traffic count is 60,000 cars. A summer 2001 opening is planned.

Baum Realty Group is developing a 38,000 sq.ft. mixed-use center located at the intersection of State & Archer in Chicago, IL. Spaces of 1,200 sq.ft to 38,000 sq.ft. are available. The project will have 30 parking spaces. Dominick’s operates nearby. The asking rent is $20 psf, with CAM of $2 psf and taxes of $4 psf. An opening is planned during late 2001. The company is also developing Wells Fargo Lofts, a 24,000 sq.ft. mixed-use center located at the intersection of Division and Wells in Chicago, IL. Spaces of 1,500 sq.ft. to 24,000 sq.ft. are available. The project will have 30 parking spaces, and the daily traffic count is 25,000 cars. The asking rent is $22 psf, with CAM of $3 psf and taxes of $4 psf. An opening during the second half of 2001 is planned.

JMT Land Development is developing a 320,000 sq.ft. shopping center for Manchester Village, a 165-acre multi-use project located in Rock Hill, SC. The shopping center will abut both sides of Dave Lyle Boulevard. Plans call for completion in the third quarter of 2002.

Fidelity Land Development Corporation is developing two projects in New Jersey. Watchung Square, a 750,000-sq.ft. power center, is under construction in Watchung, NJ. A fully approved 105,000-sq.ft. specialty retail center in Chester, NJ is scheduled to begin construction in Fall 2000. Fidelity is seeking land for development in New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania and existing shopping centers in the same areas for purchase.

G&S Investors is developing The Waterfront at Port Chester, a $100-million waterfront and downtown renewal project in the Long Island Sound community of Port Chester, NY. The project will include retail stores, a Costco Wholesale Club, a multiscreen cinema and a major supermarket, along with a rehabilitation of a half-mile of the village’s frontage on the Byram River. The waterfront component will include a half-mile long pedestrian promenade, a restaurant and boat slips.
