GVA Williams (212-889-0808) acquired Associated Realty, Inc., a full service commercial real estate brokerage headquartered in Parsippany, NJ. The new company will operate under the name GVA Williams. Eric Witmondt, the founder of Associated Realty, will remain a principal and serve as CEO, while David Simson has joined the company as president and a principal. Prior to joining the company, Simson worked as a senior vice president at CB Richard Ellis.

Confluence Real Estate Services (407-599-9500) was formed by R.E. Williams, who was most recently associated with Lincoln Property Company. Michell Fisher, formerly of Grubb & Ellis, has joined the company as vice president. The new company will be located in Winter Park, FL.

Brandt Retail Group, Inc. (513-984-0800) hired Eric Abroms and Scott Saddlemire as senior retail consultants. Prior to joining the company, Abroms was a senior sales associate with NAI Eagle in Cincinnati, OH. Saddlemire, who also comes to the firm from NAI Eagle, has a background in property management, acquisition, brokerage, leasing and disposition. Both hirees will represent retailers and restaurants in conducting market analysis, site selection and acquisition, and shopping center owners for project leasing.

CBL & Associates Properties (423-855-0001) added Michael Herman to its executive staff. Herman will oversee the legal department, and will be involved in lease negotiations.

Commercial Realty Funding Corp. (201-556-0555) named Jackie Bonney senior vice president. Prior to joining the firm, Bonney served as a vice president in lending and property management for the Prospect Park Savings Bank. The company named Joseph Stropoli vice president. Stropoli is responsible for loan origination and placement of commercial permanent and construction mortgages, the marketing of commercial real estate and consultation in nonperforming and substandard mortgages and properties. The company also named Charlotte Haley Mizzi senior loan officer. Her responsibilities include securing construction and permanent loans, qualifying borrowers, processing and underwriting applications and interaction with local and governmental agencies.

Coyote Management (972-248-9375) promoted Marie Gerdes to leasing representative. Prior to joining the company, Gerdes was most recently employed as a real estate legal assistant by Kane, Russell, Coleman and Logan, P.C.

Prior to joining Stiles, Grandis was most recently director of leasing for the Riverwalk Group, LLC where she handled pre-leasing for the proposed 100 Las Olas Tower.

Vestar Development Company (602-993-1626) hired Mark Villalpando as project manager responsible for overseeing the development of retail projects in AZ and CA. Prior to joining the company, Villalpando managed real estate development for Boston Market and Einstein Brothers Bagels franchisees in the western U.S. Subsequently, he developed commercial real estate projects for Univest.
