Goldman Retail Associates (310-235-0444) represented the landlord in the leasing of 9,975 sq.ft. to First Bargain Discount Stores in La Puente, CA.

 

CB Richard Ellis (909-418-2023) leased 7,764 sq.ft. to The Learning Zone, 6,300 sq.ft. to el Paraiso restaurant and 11,670 sq.ft. to Burkes Outlet at Palm Court Plaza, a 262,000 sq.ft. shopping center off of Slover Avenue near Sierra Avenue and Interstate 10 in Fontana, CA.

 

Island Associates Real Estate (516-587-5050) brokered the lease of the following Corners framing stores: on Broadway in New York, NY for an aggregate rental in excess of $1.4 million; a unit in Greenvale, NY adjacent to Kinko’s, Harvey Electronics and Blockbuster for an aggregate rental in excess of $1.2 million; a 3,600 sq.ft. store at the intersection of Merrick Avenue and Merrick Road in Merrick, NY for an aggregate rental in excess of $1 million; a location on Franklin Avenue in Franklin Square with a twenty-year lease term and an aggregate rental in excess of $5 million; a 10,000 sq.ft. CVS pharmacy on Bellmore Avenue in Bellmore, NY; a 10,000 sq.ft. CVS pharmacy at the intersection of Wellwood and Straight Path in North Lindenhurst with a twenty-year term and an aggregate rental in excess of $5 million; a 21,000 sq.ft. Golds Gym on Landing Avenue in Smithtown, NY with an aggregate rental in excess of $3.5 million; and a Taco Bell on Sunrise Highway in Lindenhurst, NY with an aggregate rental in excess of $1 million.

 

The Sembler Company (727-343-4272) leased 51,240 sq.ft. to Publix at Cocoa Commons located at S.R. 54 & Industry Road S. in Cocoa, FL; 1,000 sq.ft. to Hyde Tae Kwon Do and 814 sq.ft. to General Nutrition Center on Gulfport Boulevard in South Pasadena, FL; 10, 216 sq.ft. to Dollar Tree and 1,900 sq.ft. to J.J. Smoothey’s Cafe at Woodlands Square on Tampa Road in Oldsmar, FL; and 23,500 sq.ft. to Office Max at the intersection of Interstate 275 and GA Highway in Woodstock, GA.

 

Newmark Merrill Companies (818-996-0700) leased 7,000 sq.ft. Kragen Auto Parts at the Food 4 Less center at the southwest corner of Fries Avenue and Anaheim Street in Wilmington, CA. The lease term was 15 years and commences during October 2000.

 

Trout, Segall & Doyle LLC (410-435-4277) leased 7,400 sq.ft. at Tyson Station Shopping Center in Tyson’s Corner, VA, and 7,200 sq.ft. in the Air Rights Center on Wisconsin Avenue in Bethesda, MD, each to Workbench Furniture, an upscale contemporary home furniture retailer.

 

Zell Commercial Real Estate Services (602-248-0600) brokered the leasing of 3,300 sq.ft. to Name Brand Exchange in the Dobson Square Shopping Center on Dobson Road in Mesa, AZ, and 1,200 sq.ft. to Checkmate Payday Loans in Glendale Town Center on West Glendale Avenue in Glendale, AZ.

 

Insignia/ESG (215-561-8900) leased 81,212 sq.ft. on behalf of Ames at Center Point Place, a 235,914 sq.ft. shopping center located at the intersection of Old York and Street Roads in Warminster, PA. The space was formerly occupied by Caldor Department Store.

 

Divaris Real Estate (757-497-2113) lease 4,012 sq.ft. to Baba, an Asian restaurant, on Merrick Way in Coral Gables, FL. The company also leased 4,182 sq.ft. to Atlanta Bread Company in the Shoppes At Doral located at the intersection of 41st Street and 107th Avenue in Miami, FL. The company also leased 30,452 sq.ft. to MARS, The Musician’s Planet in the Garden State Pavillion, a 395,000 sq.ft. power center located at the intersection of Route 70 and Cornell in Cherry Hill, NJ. The center is anchored by Home Depot, Staples, ShopRite and Old Navy.

 

Flocke & Avoyer (619-280-2600) brokered the leasing of 1,168 sq.ft. to Great Clips hair salon in the Scripps Ranch Village Center in San Diego, CA. The lease term was five years and the aggregate rental was in excess of $135,000. The salon opened during April 2000.

 

Sigma National, Inc. (804-320-6100) brokered the leasing of 1,200 sq.ft. to General Nutrition Company at Emporia Commons in Emporia, VA.

 

Ripco Real Estate Corp. (610-525-3340) brokered two long-term leases for Cost Less Home Stores, a 23,000 sq.ft. unit at the Ashbridge Shopping Center, a 400,000 sq.ft. shopping center anchored by Home Depot, Staples and Croppers supermarket and located at the intersection of Route 30 and the Route 30 bypass in Downingtown, PA, and a 23,000 sq.ft. unit in Creekview Plaza, a 400,000 sq.ft. shopping center anchored by Target, Lowe’s and LA Fitness Sports Club and located at the intersection of Route 611 and Street Road in Warrington, PA. Both stores plan a Summer 2000 opening.

 

Draper’s & Damon’s (949-784-3010) executed a lease for a 3,720 sq.ft.. store in the Champions Forest Plaza located at the intersection of FM 1960 and Champion’s Forest Drive in Houston, TX. The fine women’s clothier plans an opening during June 2000. Other tenants at the center include The Gap, Ann Taylor, Victorias Secret and Sur la Tab.

 

Midland Red Oak Realty, Inc. (915-687-0148) leased 10,000 sq.ft. to The Gap, 1,280 sq.ft. Journey’s (an alternative shoe store) and 25,000 sq.ft. to Old Navy at Victoria Mall in Midland, TX. Each of the retailers plans a Summer 2000 opening. Other tenants at the mall include a 15,000 sq.ft. Jo-Ann Fabrics and Crafts, a 10,1192 sq.ft. Disc Jockey Superstore and a 43,708 sq.ft. Cinemark Theater.

 

Developers Diversified Realty (216-755-5455) leased 25,000 sq.ft. to Old Navy and 12,000 sq.ft. to Shoe Carnival at the 300,000 sq.ft. Springfield Commons located at the intersection of Airport Highway and Holland-Sylvania Road in Yoledo, OH. The center is anchored by Kohl’s, Bed, Bath & Beyond, Gander Mountain and Babies ‘R’ Us. Old Navy plans an October 2000 opening, while Shoe Carnival plans a November 2000 opening.

 

Robinson Sigma Commercial Real Estate (757-490-3300) leased 2,630 sq.ft. to Brothers Pizza at Olde Towne Shopping Center and 6,400 sq.ft. to Mattress Warehouse at Pocono Green Shopping Center, in Richmond, VA.
