Lease Signings


Cafaro Company (330-747-2661) brokered a lease for 2,923 sq.ft. at Millcreek Mall located in Erie, PA and 3,810 sq.ft. in Ohio Valley Mall, both to Leather Limited; 2,513 sq.ft. at Maplecrest Plaza located in Kokomo, IN and 1,312 sq.ft. at Northwest Plaza, both to Cigarettes Cheaper; 3,250 sq.ft. to Piccolo Wine Shoppe at San Marco Plaza located in Sandusky, OH; and 1,312 sq.ft. to Fantastic Sam’s at Northwest Plaza located in Muncie, IN.

 

Divaris Real Estate (757-497-2113) leased 25,650 sq.ft. to MARS, The Musician’s Planet at the Southwest Commons Shopping Center located at the intersection of Wadsworth and Cross Drive in Denver, CO.  The center is anchored by Office Depot, Kmart, Hobby Lobby and Cost Plus.  The company leased 2,976 sq.ft. to Golf USA at Gallery Shoppes located on Richmond Road in Lightfoot, VA.  The company also represented the landlord, Rite Aid Corporation, in the leasing of 6,000 sq.ft. to Dollar General at Gaytoon Crossing Shopping Center located on Gaskins Road in Richmond, VA. 

 

Capitol Real Estate Services, Inc. (410-265-5810) leased 5,054 sq.ft. to Von-A-Don at Security Square Mall, a 1.2 million sq.ft. mall located on Security Boulevard in Baltimore, MD. 

 

CB Richard Ellis (602-222-4343) completed nine leases at The Village at Desert Ridge, a 350,000 sq.ft. retail project located at the northeast corner of the Loop 101 Freeway and Tatum Boulevard in north Phoenix.  The largest recent lease was for a 15-year term to Jillian’s, a 63,000 sq.ft. entertainment/restaurant facility.  Other recent lessees include Ultimate electronics (34,000 sq.ft.) California Pizza Kitchen (5,000 sq.ft.), El Paso BBQ (7,200 sq.ft.) and Mimi’s Cafe (6,500 sq.ft.).

 

NAI Harvey Lindsay (757-640-8700) leased 29,000 sq.ft. to Consignment City and 1,586 sq.ft. to Mailboxes, Etc., both at Woods Corner Shopping Center located in Virginia Beach, VA; 3,575 sq.ft. to Shanghai Restaurant at Washington Square in Grafton, VA; and 1,925 sq.ft. to Masters Bread Cafe at Volvo Parkway Shopping Center located in Chesapeake, VA.

 

Charter Realty & Development (203-629-3939) leased 86,000 sq.ft. to Kohl’s department store at Groton Square, a 191,000 sq.ft. shopping center located on Route 12 in Groton, CT.  The lease was co-brokered with Spaulding & Slye; 32,000 sq.ft. to Big Lots/Big Lots Furniture at Danvers Crossing, a 175,000 sq.ft. shopping center anchored by Office Max and located on Route 1 in Danvers, MA.  Katz & Associates co-brokered the lease; 25,000 sq.ft. to A.J. Wright at Springfield Plaza, a 525,000 sq.ft. shopping center anchored by Kmart and Stop & Shop, and located on Liberty Street in Springfield, MA.  Atlantic Realty co-brokered the lease; 60,000 sq.ft. to Ames at Bridgeview Plaza a 140,358 sq.ft. shopping center anchored by Grand Union and located on Route 9W in Bridgeview, NY; and 45,000 sq.ft. to Ollie’s Discount Store at Richland Mall, a 186,264 sq.ft. shopping center anchored by The Bon-Ton and Redner’s Market, and located on Route 309 in Quakertown, PA. 


Metro Commercial Real Estate (856-866-1900) represented the landlord in the leasing of 2,850 sq.ft. to Blockbuster Video at Festival at Hamilton, a 175,000 sq.ft. shopping center anchored by Acme and Pier 1 Imports, located on the Black Horse Pike in Atlantic County, NJ.  The lease was valued at $346,000; 1,690 sq.ft. to Charley’s Steakhouse at Tilghman Square Shopping Center, a 235,000 sq.ft. center anchored by Acme and AMC Theaters, located at the intersection of Broadway and Hausman Roads in Allentown, PA.  The lease was valued at $126,750; 3,200 sq.ft. to Dollar or Two at Town & Country Shopping Center, a 150,000 sq.ft. shopping center anchored by Shop Rite and Office Depot, located in West Chester, PA.  The lease was valued at $220,000; and represented the lessee in the leasing of 1,500 sq.ft. to GNC at Hammonton Square, a 151,000 sq.ft. shopping center anchored by Wal*Mart and Super Fresh, located at the intersection of the White Horse Pike and Middle Road in Hammonton, NJ.  The lease was valued at $125,000.

 

Developers Diversified Realty (216-755-5450) leased 50,000 sq.ft. to Best Buy at Spring Creek Centre, a 580,000 sq.ft. shopping center located at the intersection of Route 71B and Highway 471S in Fayetteville, AR.  Anchors include Wal*Mart Supercenter, Home Depot, Bed, Bath and Beyond, TJ Maxx, Old Navy and Shoe Carnival.  The company also leased 50,000 sq.ft. to Value City Furniture at Belden Park Crossing located in Canton, OH.  The 585,000 sq.ft. center is anchored by Target, Kohl’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Home Place, Jo Ann Etc., PETsMART, Cost Plus and Factory Card Outlet.  

 

Equity Investment Group (404-364-2984) brokered the leasing of 12,322 sq.ft. to Family Dollar at Dixie Village Shopping Center, a 222,528 sq.ft. center located in Gastonia, NC.  The lease runs five years; 6,604 sq.ft. to Final Markdown at Eastland Square Shopping Center, a 133,478 sq.ft. shopping center located in Columbia, OH.  The lease runs two years; 3,000 sq.ft. to Malibu Tanning at Elkhart Market Centre, a 349,115 sq.ft. shopping center located in Goshen, IN.  The lease runs five years; 1,500 sq.ft. to Abbott’s Window Fashions at Springbrook Plaza, a 174,353 sq.ft. shopping center located in Canton, OH; and 1,200 sq.ft. to Cigarettes Cheaper also at Eastland Square Shopping Center.

 

Flocke & Avoyer (619-280-2600) represented Great Clips for Hair in the leasing of 949 sq.ft. at Twin Peaks Plaza in Poway, CA.  The five-year lease was valued in excess of $117,000; represented Bruegger’s Bagels in the leasing of 1,500 sq.ft. to at Carlsbad Plaza Shopping Center located on Formula Place in San Diego, CA.  The five-year lease was valued in excess of $235,000; represented Toga’s Sandwich Shop in the leasing of 1,373 sq.ft. at Mira Mesa Market Center located on Mira Mesa Boulevard in San Diego, CA.  The 10-year lease was valued in excess of $542,000; and represented the Eastlake Company, LLC in the leasing of 4,500 sq.ft. to Blockbuster at Eastlake Village South located in Chula Vista, CA.  The 10-year lease was valued in excess of $1.144 million.

 

JBG Rosenfeld (301-657-7335) leased 50,778 sq.ft. to Giant Food Stores at Alexandria Commons Shopping Center located in Alexandria, VA.  The space was formerly occupied by Hechinger’s.   Giant has begun build out and expects to open the new prototype, full-service supermarket during Spring 2001. 


United Commercial Realty/ChainLinks (214-526-6262) represented the landlord in leasing space to Little Gym at Allen Central Market located at the southwest corner of McDermott and Highway 75 in Allen, TX; the company represented both the lessor and lessee in the leasing of 15,700 sq.ft. to Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. and 2,400 sq.ft. to A&W Root Beer Restaurant, and represented the lessor in the leasing of 10,000 sq.ft. to Famous Footwear, at Watauga Towne Crossing located at the intersection of Highway 377 and North Tarrant Parkway in Watauga, TX; and the company represented the lessee, Anteks Home Furnishings, in the leasing of 5,184 sq.ft. at Polo Towne Crossing located at the northeast quadrant of North Dallas Parkway in Plano, TX.

 

Lamar Companies (610-442-0030) leased three anchor spaces to A.J. Wright, Lucille Roberts and Odd Jobs at Independence Plaza located in Hamilton, NJ.  An end cap position of 15,000 sq.ft. remains available, and the company will build to suit.

 

Pace Properties (314-394-3301) represented the lessee, DEAL$, in the leasing of 10,000 sq.ft. from Capitol Land at Southroads Center located on Tesson Ferry Road in St. Louis, MO; 8,000 sq.ft. from GJ Grewe at Gravois Bluffs Shopping Center located in St. Louis, MO; and 7,200 sq.ft. from Otis & Clark at North County Festival located in St. Louis, MO.  The company also represented the lessor, Gateway Riverside LLC, and lessee The Avenue, in the leasing of 6,000 sq.ft. at Heritage Place located on Olive Boulevard in St. Louis, MO. 

 

Uniwest Realty (703-671-2880) leased 6,600 sq.ft. for Rack Room Shoes at the Laurel Shopping Center located in Route 1 in Laurel, MD.  Anchors include Marshall’s, Toys ‘R’ Us, Giant Food and Rugged Warehouse.

 

Katz & Associates (845-735-6666) brokered the leasing of 2,500 sq.ft. to Bell Atlantic Mobile on West 34th Street in New York, NY.  The lease term runs 10 years; 2,500 sq.ft. to Skechers also on West 34th Street in New York, NY.  The lease term runs seven years; 1,600 sq.ft. to H20+ for a flagship location on West Broadway in New York, NY; and 5,000 sq.ft. to Duane Reade located at the intersection of 57th Street and 2nd Avenue in New York, NY.

 

GMH Capital Partners, LP (610-355-8500) brokered the leasing of 3,600 sq.ft. to Big Apple Steakhouse at Plainsboro Plaza Shopping Center, a 235,000 sq.ft. center located in Plainsboro, NJ.  The lease term runs 10 years and was valued in excess of $515,000.  Anchors include Super Fresh and CVS, while other tenants include King of the Sea, Easy Video, The Package Store, H&R Block, and The Dollar Store.
