Arcon Inc. plans to develop High Point Square, a 380,000 sq.ft., 43-acre project located on Lakewood Avenue and Bridges and Futrelle Drives north of Eastchester in High Point, NC.  The project will require approval from the state Environmental Management Commission due to plans to replace an existing stream and pond and build a watershed in their place.  The project also stands to benefit from rezoning guidelines for the adjacent Oak Hollow Mall.  Specifically, the retention pond built for the mall was built large enough to accommodate additional runoff, the kind High Point Square might produce.
