Stiles Corporation plans to build Campbell Station Shopping Center, an 80,400 sq.ft. shopping center located at the intersection of Campbell Station Parkway and State Road 31 in Spring Hill, TN. The center will be anchored by a 55,818 sq.ft. Kroger, and will include two one-acre outparcels. Space is available. Groundbreaking is scheduled for November 2000, with an opening slated for Summer 2001.

Vita & Vita Realty Corp. plans to break ground on Grandview Shopping Plaza, a 177,000 sq.ft. strip center located at the confluence of Route Eight, East Grandview Boulevard and Davison Road in Erie, PA. A 15,000 sq.ft. outlot and a two-acre outlot are available. The center will be anchored by Big K Pantry, Penske and Quality Markets, while other tenants include Eckerd Drug, JC Penney Catalogue and Radio Shack. The daily traffic count is 12,290 cars. An April 2001 opening is planned.

Regency Realty Corporation is re-developing El Cerrito Plaza, a 140,000+ sq.ft. shopping center located at the intersection of San Pablo Avenue and Fairmount Avenue in El Cerrito, CA. Groundbreaking occurred during August 2000. Anchors include a 66,703 sq.ft. Albertson’s, while other tenants include Old Navy (25,000 sq.ft.), Ross Dress for Less (30,011 sq.ft.), Bed, Bath & Beyond (30,244 sq.ft.) and The Gap (9,267 sq.ft.). Longs Drugs and other existing merchants will remain open during construction. An opening is slated for the fourth quarter of 2001.

Charles Wayne Properties, Inc. recently completed development of Peachtree City Plaza, a 15,000 sq.ft. strip center located adjacent to the 190,000 sq.ft. The Avenue Shopping Center at the intersection of State Highways 54 and 74 in Peachtree City, GA. Demographics show a population of 67,000 residing within seven miles earning $73,000 as the average income.

Harper & Associates is interested in developing a 420,000 sq.ft., 55-acre shopping center located at the intersection of Forest Hill Avenue and Chippenham Parkway in Richmond, VA. Anchors are slated to include Ukrop’s, Target, Great Big Greenhouse nursery and perhaps a movie theater. The project, which still requires approval from the Richmond City Council, is slated for a Fall 2001 opening.

Real Estate Affiliates, Inc. is developing a 103,540 sq.ft., 8.4-acre shopping center located on Sisk Road in Modesto, CA. Tenants at the five-building project include OfficeMax, Michael’s Art & Crafts and Ethan Allen. Two spaces remain, and negotiations are ongoing with Linens & Things to fill one of the available locations. The Michael’s unit is a relocation for the store currently operating on McHenry Avenue.
