Lease Signings


Taubman Centers (248-258-6800) announced the lease signings of its first 100 retailers for 1.26 million sq.ft. International Plaza in Tampa, FL. The center will be anchored by Dillard’s, Nordstrom, Lord & Taylor and the market’s only Neiman Marcus. The following retailers will be opening its first store in the Tampa, FL market: Tiffany & Co., Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton, Nicole Miller, Stuart Wietzman, Charles Jourdan Paris, Coach, Cole Haan, J. Crew, Hollister, Bang & Olufsen, Wolford, Agatha Paris, A/X Armani, Tommy Hilfiger, Forever XXI, Jessica McClintock, Landau, Fossil, L’Occitane, Oilily, Swarovski, TUMI and Via Spiga. Restaurants opening in the center include Profusion, Kahunaville, Prezzo, TooJay’s Gourmet Deli, Todai, California Pizza Kitchen, Bamboo Club and Hollywood Java. Other national tenants that will occupy space in the center include: Baily Banks & Biddle, Abercrombie & Fitch, Godiva Chocolatier, Geuss?, Gymboree, Lillie Rubin, The Sharper Image, Mayors, Origins, Victoria’s Secret, Waldenbooks, Brookstones and Wilson’s Leather.

 

Levin Management Corporation (908-755-2401) leased space to the following tenants: ShopRite took the 91,000 sq.ft. former-Caldor location at St. Georges Crossing in Woodbridge, NJ; Annie Sez took 12,260 sq.ft. at the newly-renovated North Village Shopping Center in New Brunswick, NJ; Dial-A-Mattress leased 3,000 sq.ft. on Route 22 East in North Plainfield, NJ; Chatham Bakery & Bread Shoppe took 2,625 sq.ft. on Main Street in Chatham, NJ; Roses & More leased 1,314 sq.ft. on Amboy Avenue in Edison, NJ; Just Living Rooms took 21,612 sq.ft. at Brunswick Shopping Center in North Brunswick, NJ; Dollar General leased 7,000 sq.ft. at Capitol Plaza in Bangor, PA and Rainbow Rental leased 7,180 sq.ft. at Liberty Center in Erie, PA. The company also leased space to the following tenants at Mayfair Shopping Center in Commack, NY: Good Taste Buffet took 6,500 sq.ft.; Self-Service Kosher Meats leased 4,200 sq.ft.; Rockaway Bedding took 3,000 sq.ft.; Consumer Corner Giftware leased 2,500 sq.ft. and Island Wireless took 1,280 sq.ft.

 

Stiles Corporation (954-627-9300) leased Southern Wine and Spirits 5,089 sq.ft. and Soups and More, Inc. took 1,613 sq.ft. at Huntington Centre I in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

 

Brandywine Town Center (302-426-3197) leased space to Annie Sez at the Center Crescent between Old Navy and Michaels in Wilmington, DE. The retailer will relocate its only other DE location to the center from its current space on Concord Road.

Mid-America Real Estate Group/ChainLinks (630-954-7300) brokered the lease of 5,000 sq.ft. to Marina Rinaldi on Oak Street in Chicago, IL. The plus-size women’s apparel retailer plans to open this summer.

 

NewMark Merrill Companies (818-996-0700) leased 49,000 sq.ft. to FAMSA at the intersection of Broadway and Washington Streets in Los Angeles, CA. The 250-unit chain of furniture and electronics stores plan to open 14 stores in southern CA.

 

Royal Properties (914-237-3403) leased space to the following tenants: Just-A-Buck leased 4,000 sq.ft. at Somers Commons in Somers, NY and 2,786 sq.ft. at Westwood Plaza in Westwood, NJ; European Tile & Granite leased 13,000 sq.ft. on Stratford Street in Stratford, CT; Curves for Women leased 1,666 sq.ft. at The Airmont Town Center in Airmont, NY, 1,500 sq.ft. at Plaza 44 in Poughkeepsie, NY and 1,100 sq.ft. at Patterson Commons in Patterson, NY; Mail Boxes, Etc. leased 1,900 sq.ft. at New City Plaza in New City, NY; Subway took 1,250 sq.ft. at Somers Commons in Somers, NY; Candy Express leased 1,000 sq.ft. at Wal*Mart Supercenter in Tucson, AZ; Carpet One took 1,000 sq.ft. at Wal*Mart Supercenter in Milford, DE; Cartoon Cuts leased 1,000 sq.ft. at Wal*Mart Supercenter in Hialeah, FL and the Nail Bar leased 1,000 sq.ft. at Wal*Mart Supercenter in La Habre, CA, 900 sq.ft. at Wal*Mart Supercenter in Phoenix, AZ and 830 sq.ft. at Wal*Mart Supercenter in Las Vegas, NV.

 

Colliers International (702-735-5700) leased 1,400 sq.ft. to World Jewelry, Diamonds and Coin Exchange on West Lake Mead Boulevard in Las Vegas, NV. The lease has a five-year term and is valued at $175,000.

 

Island Associates Real Estate (631-587-5050) brokered the lease of 1,700 sq.ft. to Pop Corn at the Central Islip Shopping Center in West Islip, NY. The lease is valued at over $500,000.

 

Michael A. Pollock Real Estate (480-888-0888) leased 20,000 sq.ft. to Food City at Apache Central Center in Tempe, AZ. The 43,800 sq.ft. center is currently under renovation and the store is scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2001.

 

Ripco Real Estate/ChainLinks (610-834-8000) brokered the lease of 6,438 sq.ft. to Rent-A-Center at the Rio Grande Mall in Rio Grande, NJ. The lease is valued at $278,443. The company also brokered the lease of 3,247 sq.ft. to The Dance Conservatory at Vermillion Square Shopping Center in Levittown, PA. The lease is valued at $63,315.
