Real Estate Professionals Making The News Insignia/ESG (212-984-8073) recently hired Peter Hancock and Eduardo Pena to expand its retail presence in Manhattan NY in addition to the outer boroughs Long Island and northern NJ. Both Hancock and Pena spent three years with Robert K. Futterman & Associates. Hancock is familiar with the retail scene in Long Island where he was part of a team that represented national tenants such as Circuit City Bally Total Fitness and Apple Computer. Pena whose retail knowledge is in Brooklyn Bronx Queens NY and northern NJ also worked with several large retailers including McDonald’s. The company is also expanding operations in TX with the acquisition of Baker Commercial Realty Inc. Insignia/ESG a subsidiary of Insignia Financial Group Inc. a service provider of brokerage consulting property management investment sales and debt placement operations. Prime Retail Inc. (410-234-1750) has accepted the resignation of three members from its board of directors: William P. Dickey Norman Perlmutter and Robert D. Perlmutter. The company will hold a meeting in early December to elect two board members.Friedman Real Estate Group Inc. (248-737-3600) hired Pete Dakmak as junior broker/sales associate. Dakmak previously was an associate at Great Northern Land Company. David Greene also was hired by the company as vice president of brokerage services. Greene previously was vice president director of brokerage at Griffin Properties.The Schultz Organization (732-855-0001) hired Kathleen Hawley as senior associate specializing in retail leasing. Hawley previously was a director of leasing at Levin Management an associate real estate representative for McDonald’s Corporation a leasing representative at Fidelity Land Development and senior property manager at SKS Associates/Security Capital Corporation.Blue Ridge Real Estate Company and Big Boulder Corporation (570-443-8433) hired Patrick M. Flynn as president. The companies own and operate Big Boulder and Jack Frost Mountain in the Poconos area of PA. Flynn’s focus will be on future development opportunities and real estate ventures for the companies’ land holdings. Flynn also is employed by Kimco Realty Corporation as director of real estate. |
