Lease Signings


Dillard’s (501-376-5242) is considering signing a lease to join Town Center Mall in Charleston WV. The department store chain would fill the space that has been empty since Montgomery Ward vacated last Winter. The company is considering expanding the space if it does sign the lease.

Friedman Real Estate Group Inc. (248-737-3600) brokered the following leases at Valley View Shopping Center in Ann Arbor MI: 45 000 sq.ft. to Joanne Etc.; 24 460 sq.ft. to Babies R’ US and 9 460 sq.ft. to Pier 1 Imports. The company also negotiated leases for a 43 000 sq.ft. Joanne Etc. and a 30 000 sq.ft. Bed Bath & Beyond at G-3603 Miller Road in Flint Township MI. The company also brokered the following leases: 24 750 sq.ft. to Bally’s Total Fitness at Fairlane Town Center in Dearborn MI and 9 960 sq.ft. to Dollar General at 1027 Saint Clair River Drive in Algonac MI.

The Swiss Group Commercial Properties (317-816-9270) brokered the following leases: 1 400 sq.ft. to Blimpie at Emerson Shoppes located at 4922 Emerson Avenue in Indianapolis IN; 4 250 sq.ft. to Catfish Blues at Vista Run located at 916 East Main Street in Indianapolis IN; a sublease of 1 200 sq.ft. from Baskin Robbins to Papa Murphy’s Pizza located at 770 Westfield Road in Noblesville IN; 2 400 sq.ft. to Joe & Terry’s BBQ & Brew at Southgate Plaza located at 3940 Madison Avenue in Indianapolis IN; 2 030 sq.ft. to Verizon Wireless at Westpoint Commons located at 8248-A Rockville Road in Indianapolis IN and a sublease of 1 581 sq.ft. from Jiffy Lube to Frank’s Auto Rental at 569 Jackson Street in Anderson IN.

Chase Commercial Real Estate LLC (203-324-0800 Ext. 352) negotiated the lease of 4 000 sq.ft. to The Vitamin Shoppe at an end cap of Poughkeepsie Plaza on Route 9 in Poughkeepsie NY. The site is directly across the street from the Poughkeepsie Galleria Mall. Other tenants of the plaza include Pier 1 Imports and Pella Windows and Doors.

Kramont Realty Trust (610-825-7100) brokered the lease of 2 520 sq.ft. to Xando Cosi Inc. to build a Cosi Restaurant at the 100% leased North Ridge Shopping Center in New Rochelle NY. The lease has a 10-year term and a consideration of $800 000.

Starwood Urban Investments LLC (202-478-4605) brokered the leases of 3 000 sq.ft. to Baja Fresh and 4 100 sq.ft. to Atlanta Bread Company at Miracle Mile a shopping center in Coral Gables FL. The company also negotiated leases for Jamba Juice and Roche-Bobois at the center.

Stirling Properties (985-898-2022) brokered the following leases: 4 000 sq.ft. to Malacchi Mattress America at the intersection of Siegan Lane and I-10 in Baton Rouge LA on behalf of Weingarten REIT; 1 700 sq.ft. to Competitive Communications Group Inc. and 1 482 sq.ft. to AARP at Bon Carre’ on 7359 Florida Boulevard in Baton Rouge LA on behalf of Bon Carre’ LLC; 13 000 sq.ft. to Hancock Fabrics Inc. at Colonial Acres Shopping Center on 2320 West Park Avenue in Houma LA on behalf of Colonial Acres Limited Partnership; 9 400 sq.ft. to A-1 Home Appliance Center Inc. on 4650 Washington Avenue in New Orleans LA on behalf of Washington Avenue LLC; 4 810 sq.ft. to Blockbuster Video at Palace Centre East on U.S. Highway 51 in Hammond LA on behalf of Palace Centre Properties LLC; 2 800 sq.ft. to Today’s Nails and Tanning Inc. at Eastgate Shopping Center on 1726 East 70th Street in Shreveport LA on behalf of Eastgate Associates LP and 1 500 sq.ft. to Wireless Unlimited at Westland Shopping Center at the intersection of Robinson Road and Ellis Avenue in Jackson MS on behalf of Westland Shopping Center LP.

North Hills Mall (817-589-2236) signed leases with Dave & Busters and Cinemark Theaters at its North Richland Hills TX location. The Dave and Busters will occupy 45 000 sq.ft. to 48 000 sq.ft. of space while the 16-screen theater will occupy more than 65 000 sq.ft. of space.

Commercial Real Estate Specialist Inc. (573-339-0488) brokered leases for Goody’s Family Clothing Factory Connection and Gospel Land Book Store in the Valley Plaza Shopping Center in Poplar Bluff MO. Other tenants in the center include Maurices Radio Shack Hibbet Sports Dollar Tree and Auto Tire $ Parts. Spaces are available at the center for 18 000 sq.ft. 29 000 sq.ft. and 40 000 sq.ft. tenants.

Michael Joseph Development Corporation (724-934-1006) negotiated leases of 4 480 sq.ft. to Blockbuster Video 2 700 sq.ft. to Radio Shack and 1 600 sq.ft. to Wise Eyes Optical at The Commons a shopping center located at the intersection of Route 255 and Shaffer Road in Dubois PA. The center is anchored by Lowe’s Home Improvement Center Shop N Save Supermarket and Elder Beerman Department Store.

The Goldstein Group (201-703-9700) brokered leases for Blimpie Century 21 Jessica Nails New City Dollar Store and Potato Republic at the New City Shopping Center in New City NY. The center is anchored by Shop Rite Supermarket.
