Real Estate Professionals Making The NewsOne Price Clothing Stores, Inc (864-486-6210) named Leonard M. Snyder interim executive chairman and chief executive officer. Snyder had been a member of the board since 1998. The appointment was necessitated by the resignation of Larry I. Kelley who left to pursue opportunities in Boston.
Structure (614-479-7000) named David Lawn interim president and chief executive officer for the concept. Lawn had served as executive vice president and general merchandise manager. Peter Whitford resigned the post and a search for his permanent replacement is underway.
CB Richard Ellis (858-646-4737) promoted Jeff Vitek to senior vice president. Vitek had served as retail specialist and was ranked as one of the firms top five brokers in the nation. Vitek has been with the company for 10 years.
Sunglass Hut International (305-461-6100) named James Hauslein chief executive officer. John X. Watson had resigned amid double-digit drops same store sales numbers. Hauslein had served as interim CEO before Watson.
CBL & Associates (423-855-0001) has promoted five senior leasing managers to regional leasing directors positions. Jan Bass joined the company in 1995 and will be in charge of marketing and leasing space in new regional centers that the firm develops. Bill Singer, Brian Smith, Larry Turk and John Waller will focus on the 10 existing regional centers that the firm manages. Singer and Turk joined the firm in 1984, while Waller and Smith came aboard in 1998.
Best Cellars, Inc. (212-989-2540) hired Marc M. Drasin as executive vice president of store development. Drasin has served as vice president of real estate for Petco and a real estate director for Blockbuster. He will be responsible for real estate, construction and facilities for the anticipated rollout of 250 stores for the wine retailer.
RVI Group (203-975-2100) hired Yan Yang as Senior Counsel and corporate secretary. Yang joins the firm from IBM Credit Corporation and had previously worked at Winthrop, Stimson, Putnam & Roberts.
Ann Taylor (212-536-4400) announced the resignation of president and chief operating officer Patricia DeRosa. CEO J. Patrick Spainhour said recruitment efforts are underway and internal and external candidates will be considered.
Legend Properties (215-599-0312) opened its Center City Philadelphia office that will be managed by Michael DePetris. Sales associates David Dinenberg and Peter Eizen will also work out of the office. |
