Real Estate Professionals Making NewsWalpert Properties (314-567-1221) opened a satellite office in Orlando, FL that is headed by William A. White. White was the director of development for a 3.5 million sq.ft. real estate company before joining Walpert.
Donahue Schribner (480-947-7868) opened a regional AZ office in Scottsdale that is headed by Loretta Felix. Felix was previously with The Rubin Companies and BANC Commercial Arizona. She will oversee Gold Canyon and Santa Cruz Plazas in Tucson, Paradise Square in Phoenix and Office Max Plaza in Scottsdale.
First Western Development Services (425-776-6006) has been appointed receiver of the Everett Mall in Everett, NJ. The property owner, Titanic Associates reportedly owes $61 million to Equitable Life Assurance and the property is valued at $50 million.
Santa Barbara Restaurant Group (805-563-3644) named Ted Abajian chief executive officer of the company. Abajian had been chief financial officer of the company and will hold both titles until a new CFO may be found. The CEO position had been vacant since June. The chain franchises or operates 373 units trading as La Salsa, JBs, Galaxy Diner, Green Burritto and Timber Lodge Steakhouse.
Ripco Real Estate Corp. (610-834-8000) hired Jeremy B. Fogel as chief operating officer and chief financial officer. Prior to joining Ripco, Fogel was vice president for development for the Goldenberg Group. He also worked as a financial analyst with Viking Graham and as a vice president of Alexander Vacca Company.
Realty Resources (757-490-7822) announced Richard J. Brunelli chairman of the board for 2001. Brunelli is the president of R.J. Brunelli & Co. Inc., a retail brokerage firm that services clients throughout NJ and suburban New York City. Realty Resources is a nationwide network of commercial brokerage firms that specialize in retail real estate.
CB Richard Ellis (714-939-2209) promoted Carol Schillne to first vice president at their Anaheim, CA office. Schillne has been with the company since 1988, and is a certified leasing specialist with the ICSC. Pete Bolton is the new senior managing director for the Phoenix, AZ office. Bolton joins the company from Grubb & Ellis where he spent two-plus years as senior vice president and sales manager for the companys Phoenix office.
Genesco (615-367-8283) promoted John W. Clinard to vice president-administration and human resources. Clinard will be responsible for the areas of real estate, store construction, physical distribution and information systems for the retail group that includes Journeys, Johnston & Murphy, Jarman and Underground Station. Clinard has been with the company for 25 years, most recently as vice president of human resources.
