Chase Commercial Real Estate LLC (203-324-0800) has been named exclusive broker for the CT and RI markets for The Sports Club Company and the CT market for Supercuts. The Sports Club Company operates six units in D.C., NY, CA and MA and has four units currently under construction. The fitness centers occupy spaces of 50,000 sq.ft. to 100,000 sq.ft. in freestanding locations, entertainment centers, downtown urban settings and mixed-use projects. Plans call for three to five openings during the coming 18 months. Expansion opportunities are sought in CT, primarily Stamford, and RI. Supercuts operates 1200+ locations nationwide. The hair cutteries occupy spaces of 900 sq.ft. to 1,500 sq.ft. in grocery anchored shopping centers. Plans call for 10-15 openings in CT during the coming 18 months.

The Schultz Organization (732-855-0001) has been named exclusive broker for the NJ market for Jennifer Convertibles, a 120+-unit chain operating locations nationwide. The sofabed stores occupy spaces of 2,500 sq.ft. to 5,000 sq.ft. in freestanding locations, strip and power centers. Plans call for five openings in NJ during the coming 18 months. Expansion opportunities are sought in East Hanover, Bridgewater and Livingston, NJ. The company is seeking sites in regional and semi-regional markets with middle to upper income brackets.

Royal Properties (914-237-3403) has been named the exclusive broker for the CT, NJ and NY markets for Just A Buck, the Westchester and Rockland County, NY and Fairfield County, CT markets for Mailboxes, etc. and the Westchester, Rockland and Putnam County, NY markets for Subway, Inc. Just A Buck operates 50 locations in CT, FL, ME, NJ, NY and TN, with a focus on the CT, NJ, NY markets. The stores occupy spaces of 3,000 sq.ft. to 6,000 sq.ft. in supermarket, discount and department anchored centers in downtown areas. Plans call for 15 to 20 openings in CT, NJ and NY during the coming 18 months. Mailboxes, Etc. operates 3,000+ locations nationwide. The office supply and service stores occupy spaces of 1,200 sq.ft. to 1,800 sq.ft. in strip and power centers. Plans call for eight to 10 openings in Westchester County and Rockland County, NY and Fairfield County, CT during the coming 18 months. Subway, Inc. operates 14,270 locations in 73 countries. The sandwich shops occupy spaces of 800 sq.ft. to 1,200 sq.ft. in downtown areas, strip and power centers. Plans call for 20 openings in Westchester County, Rockland County and Putnam County, NY during the coming 18 months.

Stiles Retail Group (954-627-9300) has been appointed exclusive leasing agent for the 80,000 sq.ft. Pompano Plaza Shopping Center under construction in the 400 block of South Federal Highway, Pompano Beach, FL. The brokerage firm is also responsible for leasing the 12,000 sq.ft. freestanding outparcel fronting Federal Highway. The plaza is scheduled for completion by the first quarter of 2001.

 

Garrick-Aug Associates Store Leasing Inc. (212-557-9090) has been selected as exclusive agent for the 6,640 sq.ft. ground floor retail space at 80 Maiden Lane, between William and Pearl Street in New York, NY. Currently a Hit Or Miss, the site is near McDonald’s, Burger King, Dress Barn, Radio Shack, Duane Reade, Au Bon Pain, Hagstrom Maps, Cardio-Fitness Center, Godiva Chocolatier and Eye to Eye Vision Center. The company has also been named exclusive agent for 65 Broadway, located between Wall Street and Exchange Place. Previously American Express Travel Services, the 8,400 sq.ft. space is close to Men’s Warehouse, The Custom Shop, Bally Fitness, Fidelity Investments, Bank of New York, Mangia, HSBC, US Trust Company, New York Stock Exchange and New York Sports Club.
