Newcastle Properties LLC (847-480-9700) announced that Fleming Companies, Inc., dba Food 4 Less, has agreed to a multi-year extension of its existing lease at Sun Plaza, 3500 52nd Street, Kenosha, WI. Sun Plaza is a 154,000 sq.ft. center anchored by JoAnn Fabrics, Big Lots, Sterling Optical, Rent A Center, Meineke Muffler, American Family Insurance and H&R Block.

 

Pace Properties, Inc. (314-968-9898) represented the lessor in several lease signings in MO. Home Accents leased 7,260 sq.ft. from Wolff Trust at 4003 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO; Sailormen, Inc. dba Popeye’s leased 3,743 sq.ft. from Lenette Realty & Investment at 8100 Manchester Road, Brentwood, MO; Anheuser Busch Employee Credit Union leased 2,400 sq.ft. from Arnold Park Mall Associates, LP at #28 Arnold Park Mall, Arnold, MO; West County Flooring leased 2,220 sq.ft. from Weingarten-Nostat, Inc. in Ballwin Plaza, Ballwin, MO; Gizmo Wireless leased 2,100 sq.ft. from Westgate Centre, Creve Coeur, MO; AT&T Wireless PCS leased 2,100 sq.ft. from Gateway Riverside in Heritage Place Shopping Center, Creve Coeur, MO; Edward Jones leased 1,295 sq.ft. from Milor Realty Corporation at 15008 Manchester Road, Ballwin, MO. The company also brokered leases for Deal$, Nothing Over a Dollar at the following locations: 9,000 sq.ft. at American Plaza in St. Louis, MO and 8,914 sq.ft. at 15440 Manchester Road in Ellisville, MO.

Synergy Retail Group (561-395-3303) associate Melody Dowd completed three lease transactions in FL. The following tenants were represented: Borders Books leased 25,000 sq.ft. on PGA Boulevard adjacent to the Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens, FL and is projected to open in mid-2001; Wild Oats Market leased 23,000 sq.ft. at City Place, a 500,000 sq.ft. mixed-use center, located at Fern and Rosemary Avenues in West Palm Beach, FL and is projected to open in 2001; Ross Dress For Less leased 33,000 sq.ft. at Boca Lyons Plaza, a 125,000 sq.ft. center, located at the junction of Glades Road and Lyons Road in Boca Raton, FL, and opened last month.

 

Boyd Page (713-877-8400) negotiated leases for retailers in the Houston, TX area. The tenants represented include Old Navy, leasing a 27,985 sq.ft. space in North Oaks Shopping Center, located at the southwest corner of FM 1960 and Veterans Memorial Boulevard, a 26,584 sq.ft. space in Baybrook Gateway Shopping Center, located at the southeast corner of Bay Area Boulevard and Interstate 45 South and a 25,600 sq.ft. space in Portofino Shopping Center, located at the northeast corner of Interstate 45 North and Tamina Road; Silver Spoon, LLP leasing a 1,150 sq.ft. space in Champions Forest Plaza, located at the northeast corner of FM 1960 and Champions Forest Drive; PetSmart leasing a 19,248 sq.ft. space also in Portofino Shopping Center; and Ulta3 leasing a 12,017 sq.ft. space in Greentree Retail Center, located at the southeast corner of Interstate 10 West and Fry Road.

 

CB Richard Ellis (310-516-2401) brokered the following leases: The Great Indoors leased 142,000 sq.ft. at the Irvine Spectrum Pavilion Shopping Center in Irvine, CA. The 335,000 sq.ft. center is anchored by Costco; California Pizza Kitchen (5,000 sq.ft.), Tower Records (15,170 sq.ft.) and Texas Land & Cattle Steak House (10,500 sq.ft.) will join the tenant roll at The Village at Desert Ridge in Phoenix, AZ and these transactions were handled by the CBRE Phoenix office (602-735-5555).
