Ben Carter Properties is developing the 450,000 sq.ft. Columbus Park Crossing in Columbus, GA. The company had announced the development last July and has commitments from Circuit City, Staples, Bed Bath & Beyond, Barnes & Noble, Marshalls, Toys ‘R’ Us, Kids ‘R’ Us, Ross Dress for Less, Olive Garden, Chili’s, La-Z-Boy Furniture and Regions Bank. The site is located at the intersection of J.R. Allen and Veterans Parkways and is part of the Columbus Park master plan. The project is scheduled to open summer 2002.

Cullinan Properties LLC is developing the 500,000 sq.ft. lifestyle center, The Shoppes at Grand Prairie in Peoria, IL. Phase one of the project is scheduled to open in March 2003 and will include a 140,000 sq.ft. anchor and five sub-anchors between 60,000 sq.ft. to 20,000 sq.ft. The project is approximately 50% pre-leased.

Kramont Realty Trust is developing the 150,000 sq.ft. The Shops at Wellington Ridge in Chester, PA. The mixed-use project will be grocery-anchored and is being built with the support of local government, the US Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The 13-acre site is located near Interstate 95.

General Growth Properties is developing the 1.3 million sq.ft. Lent Ranch Marketplace in Elk Grove, CA. The site is located along Highway 99 at the Grant Line Road exit, on the south side of the city. The Robinsons-May department store chain, Macy’s, Dillard’s and Gottschalks have all signed letters of intent to tenant the project. M&H Realty Partners is developing the surrounding retail and entertainment which may include up to two million sq.ft.

Regency Centers is developing the 171,000 sq.ft. Corral Hollow Shopping Center in Tracy, CA. Construction began in June and the center, anchored by Safeway and Orchard Supply, is scheduled to open spring 2002. The 4.5-acre site is located at the intersection of Corral Hollow and West 11th Street.

The Dial Companies is developing the 392,262 sq.ft. Southgate Center on a 100-acre parcel south of the Towne Square Mall in Owensboro, KY. The planned strip center will be connected by access roads to the regional center to alleviate traffic on Frederica Street. Home Depot is rumored to be interested in anchoring the project and Applebees Neighborhood Grill & Bar is said to be interested as well.
