Real Estate Professionals Making the News

The Woodmont Corporation (817-432-4000) added Kevin White as an investment partner. White has 21 years experience in commercial real estate, most recently serving as vice president of Trammell Crow Company. White has also held senior-level positions with United Commercial Realty/ChainLinks and Capital Realty Group. The company promoted Kevin McIntosh to vice president of the retail division. McIntosh has been with the company since 1995. The company has hired Marcy Andrepont as an associate. Andrepont has served at Jackson-Shaw Company and Simon & Associates and will specialize in retail planning, leasing and development.

Concorde Realty Partners, LLC (212-286-1600) promoted Lisa Owen to associate vice president. Owen has served as an associate with the company since April, 2000 and will focus on property acquisitions, debt financing and asset management. Prior to Concorde, Owen served as an acquisition associate with Imperial Credit Mortgage Investments Corporation.

Ann Taylor Stores (212-536-3200) hired Kim Roy as president of its store division. Roy previously served as an executive at Liz Claiborne.

Westrust America (818-878-9300) promoted Charles Smith to president. Smith joined the company in 1995 and made partner in 1998. In his new position Smith is responsible for the investment and development company’s acquisition, development, leasing and management. Prior to joining Westrust, Smith served at J.E. Robert Companies. Scott Lorenz was promoted to senior project manager of development and will continue to oversee the company’s shopping centers in AZ and CA.

Chicago Title (619-239-6081) hired Susan J. Klyce as commercial/industrial escrow officer for its southern CA builder services. Klyce has served previously at Fidelity National Title Insurance Company and she has over 30 years of industry experience.

Buxbaum Group (818-990-6820) hired John Trowbridge as a crisis management and turnaround specialist. Trowbridge has served for the past 14 years as a consultant in retail crisis management and inventory liquidation, and has also served as vice president of a fine jewelry firm. Trowbridge has over 40 years experience in retail real estate.

Insignia/ESG (212-984-8073) hired Adam Schmerzler as managing director of operations for the firm’s retail group. Schmerzler had served as a broker with Edward S. Gordon Company (ESG) from 1988 to 1990. Most recently Schmerzler served as a sales manager for Metiom, Inc. In his new position Schmerzler will be responsible for leading a variety of marketing programs, initiating revised operations and business development.

Investment Management Associates (305-661-0110) promoted Alan W. Howard to vice president of the restaurant division. Howard has been with the company in the restaurant division for eight years. The restaurant division brokers 25 deals a year.

Home Depot (770-433-8211) promoted Dennis J. Carey to executive vice president, business development, strategy and corporate operations. Carey has been with the company since 1998 and will be responsible for real estate, store planning and development.

Pace Properties (314-968-9898) promoted Jim Rosen to vice president and director of leasing of the company’s St. Louis, MO office.
