Lease Signings


The Sembler Company (727-384-6000) leased space to the following tenants at BayWalk in St. Petersburg, FL: 5,759 sq.ft. to Gratzzi’s Restaurant; 3,217 sq.ft. to Chico’s; 2,181 sq.ft. to Century 21-Sunshine Realty; 1,896 sq.ft. to People’s Pottery; 1,873 to Starbucks Coffee; 1,510 sq.ft. to White House/Black Market and 1,108 sq.ft. to the Optic Shop. The company leased 1,200 sq.ft. to Great Clips for Hair at Bloomingdale Hills Center in Brandon, FL and 1,500 sq.ft. to Sally Beauty Supply at Cocoa Commons in Cocoa, FL. The company also leased the following spaces at Keystone Crossing in Citrus Park, FL: 1,500 sq.ft. to Mail Boxes, Etc.; 1,000 sq.ft. to Great Clips for Hair; 1,000 sq.ft. to Imperial Cleaners and 1,000 sq.ft. to Lovely Nail Salon. The company leased 2,170 sq.ft. to Sally Beauty Supply at Manati Plaza in Manati, PR. The company also leased space to the following tenants at Woodstock Square in Woodstock, GA: Old Navy leased 25,000 sq.ft.; Atlanta Bread took 4,000 sq.ft.; Payless Shoe Source took 2,800 sq.ft. and Hot Nails leased 1,200 sq.ft.

 

Edgemark, LLC (630-472-1010) brokered the following leases: 2,700 sq.ft. to Payless at Willow Creek Shopping Center in Glenview, IL; 1,200 sq.ft. to Check Into Cash at Racine Centre in Racine, WI; 1,125 sq.ft. to Wireless World at North Mayfair in Chicago, IL; 9,600 sq.ft. to Fashion Bug and 5,800 sq.ft. to Dollar Tree at Homewood Square in Homewood, IL; 1,200 sq.ft. to Alpha Communications at Whitnall Square in St. Francis, WI; 1,125 sq.ft. to the Cigarette Store at Lakeview Square II in Naperville, IL; 1,165 sq.ft. to U.S. Nails at The Oaks of Des Plaines in Des Plaines, IL and 1,200 sq.ft. to Credit Union 1, Inc. at Bloomington/Normal in Bloomington, IL.

 

Colliers International-Nevada (702-735-5700) brokered the lease of 12,654 sq.ft. to Best Mattress at 7220 Industrial Road in Las Vegas, NV. The 60-month lease is valued at $615,960.

Mid-America Real Estate Group (630-954-7300) leased 1,200 sq.ft. to Family Pet Clinic at Tinley Park Commons in Oakbrook Terrace, IL. The company also leased Dr. Smith’s Family Hearing Center 734 sq.ft. in the center. The company leased 5,040 sq.ft. to Animal Krackers and 0.6191 acres for an Archer Bank to be built at Hickory Palos Square in Hickory Hills, IL. The company also leased 1,600 sq.ft. to Mail Box Depot at Marketplace of Mateson in Mateson, IL.

 

The Rouse Company (305-441-1401) has lease commitments from Dean & DeLuca, The Greenhouse, Palm Restaurant and Mayor’s Jewelers at the Village of Merrick Park in Palm Springs, FL. The center is anchored by Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus and scheduled to open in late September 2001.

Kaplan Real Estate (314-652-7000) brokered the lease of 28,000 sq.ft. to White Castle Systems, Inc. at 7830 Olive Road in University City, MO. The company also brokered the lease of 4,000 sq.ft. to Souper Salad at 980 South Highway Drive in Fenton, MO.

 

Grubb & Ellis (714-939-6000) leased 100,000 sq.ft. to La Curacao at Pacific Center in Huntington Beach, CA. The 15-year lease was valued at $23.8 million.

 

Flocke & Avoyer (619-280-2600) brokered the lease of 1,200 sq.ft. to Great Clips for Hair at Campus Marketplace Shopping Center in San Marcos, CA. The five-year lease is valued at $179,697 and the tenant will open in August.

CB Richard Ellis (847-948-5510) brokered the lease of 15,173 sq.ft. to Guitar Center at Crossroads Shopping Center in Highland Park, IL. The center is located at the intersection of Skokie Boulevard and Lake Cook Road and is anchored by Comp USA, Golfsmith, Binnys Beverage Depot, Mikasa and Party City. The company’s Phoenix office (602-735-5555) brokered the lease of space at The Village at Desert Ridge in north Phoenix, AZ to As You Wish paint-your-own-pottery studio, Hat World, Romano’s Macaroni Grill, On The Border, Fat Tuesday’s and Rock Bottom Brewery.

 

Staubach Company (972-361-5023) leased 1.5 acres to Champps Americana at the Willowbrook Shopping Center in Houston, TX. The restaurant group will build a 10,000 sq.ft. location on the outparcel of the center anchored by Auto Nation, Barnes & Noble, Disney Regional Entertainment, Gap, David’s Bridal, Old Navy, Pier One, and Target. The company brokered the lease of 23,600 sq.ft. to Michaels Arts & Crafts at Plaza Pacifica in San Clemente, CA. The company also brokered the lease of 12,000 sq.ft. to Shoe Carnival at Shops at Soncy in Amarillo, TX and 10,000 sq.ft. to Tuesday Morning at Carter Creek Shopping Center in Bryan, TX.

 

The Grossman Companies (617-472-2000) leased 10,000 sq.ft. to Dollar Tree at Kingstown Plaza in North Kingstown, RI. The 87,500 sq.ft. center is located on Route 1 and anchored by TJ Maxx and HomeGoods.

 

The Mills Company (703-526-5000) has signed three more anchor tenants for its 1.5 million sq.ft. Discover Mills in Gwinnett County, GA. Home Co. will open a 90,000 sq.ft. location, while Sun & Ski Sports and Blacklion will open smaller stores.

 

Urstadt Biddle Properties (203-863-8200) brokered the lease of 37,000 sq.ft. to Linens N Things for a 10-year term at Townline Shopping Center in Meriden, CT. The company also leased Old Navy 25,000 sq.ft. for a 10-year term at the same center. Both stores will occupy space formerly tenanted by The Wiz.

 

Fraga Properties (305-446-4567) brokered the following leases at Sabal Palm Plaza in Fort Pierce, FL: 10,500 sq.ft. to Goodwill Industries, Inc; 8,640 sq.ft. to Best Price! Fashions; 2,175 sq.ft. to Sabal Palm Creamery; 1,800 sq.ft. to the Christian Connection; 1,200 to Advanced Physical Therapy & Rehab; 1,150 to Sabal Palm Dental; 900 sq.ft. to Tropical Federal Credit Union and 868 sq.ft. to Joyous Flowers.
