TriCo Properties and TRIBEK Properties are developing a mixed-use development that will include 350,000 sq.ft. of retail space adjacent to the Triangle Town Center in North Raleigh, NC. The project, called Triangle Town Commons, is being objected to by The Richard E. Jacobs Group, the developer of Triangle Town Center. The Commons development will court big box retailers for the majority of its retail space.

Shea Properties is developing the third phase of Seacliff Village Shopping Center in Huntington Beach, CA. The new construction includes a food court for the 258,000 sq.ft. center located at the intersection of Golden West Street and Yorktown Road. KD Donuts, Baja Fresh, Pizzarito, Starbucks and Togos/Baskin Robbins have agreed to tenant the food court. The center’s 23,942 sq.ft. Staples store opened in late February.

Schultz & Associates, LLC is developing the 116,375 sq.ft. Bel Villaggio on 16 acres east of the Promenade Mall in Temecula, CA. The center will include 13 buildings located at the intersection of Margarita and North General Kearny Roads. Romano’s Macaroni Grill has leased a corner pad in the center which will have a village feel to it.

Michael Joseph Development Corporation is developing phase II of The Commons in Dubois, PA. The center will include 320,000 sq.ft. upon completion in fall 2001. The center is currently anchored by Lowe’s Home Improvement and Shop ‘n Save Supermarket and a 54,500 sq.ft. Elder Beerman Department store will open with phase II. The center has retail space and outparcels available.

Tornetta Realty Corporation is developing Valley Forge Marketplace in West Norriton Township, PA. The 400,000 sq.ft. power center is located at the intersection of Trooper and Egypt Roads and is anchored by Home Depot and Wal*Mart (opens summer 2001). The center has 100,000 sq.ft. of in-line space available and pad locations are available ranging from 1,500 sq.ft. to 9,000 sq.ft. The average daily traffic count is 32,000 cars and area demographics include a population count of 134,000 residing in a five-mile radius earning an average annual household income of $81,760.

The Widewaters Group, Inc. is developing the 185,000 sq.ft. Target Center in Ithaca, NY. The center is located at Sandbank Road and Route 13 and will be anchored by a 124,044 sq.ft. Target store. Located near Pyramid Mall, Triphammer Mall and The Commons, the project is scheduled to open in March 2002. Area demographics include a population count of 54,585 residing in a five-mile radius earning an average annual household income of $40,281. The company is also developing the 130,000 sq.ft. Knightdale Commons in Knightdale, NC. The center will be anchored by Lowes Foods and has 90,000 sq.ft. of subdividable space available. The site is located at the intersection of US Highway 64 and Lynword Road and has an average daily traffic count of 50,000 cars. Area demographics include a population of 42,945 residing in a five-mile radius earning an average annual household income of $66,736. Area retailers include Wal*Mart, Winn-Dixie and Food Lion. Construction will begin this summer with a summer 2002 opening planned.

Donahue Schriber is constructing the second phase of Creekside Town Center in Roseville, CA. The 370,000 sq.ft. power center is located at the intersection of Highway 65 and Galleria Boulevard, across from the Galleria Mall and completion is scheduled for summer 2001. Phase one of the project is now open and anchored by Best Buy, Babies ‘R’ Us, Barnes & Noble, Old Navy and Bed Bath & Beyond. Three anchors have committed to phase two of the center including Michaels Craft Store, Marshall’s and Nordstrom Rack. Other phase two retailers include Air Touch Cellular, Bank of America, The Avenue, Ulta 3 Cosmetics and Shell Gas & Oil.

Flad Development is constructing 101,000 sq.ft. of retail at the intersection of Midvale Boulevard and University Avenue in Madison, WI. Kohl’s Food Emporium, Borders Book Shop & Cafe, Walgreen Drug Store and Janet’s Antique Gallery will all move existing stores into the new development.
