Vons Supermarkets is looking for government assistance in developing a $14.4 million mixed-use center in Long Beach, CA. The five-acre complex would include a 55,000 sq.ft. supermarket and is located between Broadway and First Street and Atlantic and Alamitos Avenues. The store would replace the existing store at Broadway and Atlantic Avenue. The Jaffe Companies and Mid-America Real Estate Group are developing the 400,000 sq.ft. Orchard Grove in Aurora, IL. The 45-acre site is located at the intersection of Orchard and Indian Trails Roads and will include Meijers and Home Depot. Shea Properties is developing the 130,000 sq.ft. Shops at Waterford in the $100 million Waterford mixed-use project in Aliso Vielo, CA. The center will be anchored by a 52,000 sq.ft. Hagan Seay Properties is expanding the Shelbyville Road Plaza in Louisville, KY. The project is undergoing renovation and will encompass 365,000 sq.ft. when completed this summer. The center will be anchored by Circuit City, Wild Oats Market, Linens N Things, Honey Baked Hams, Hawley-Cooke Booksellers and Coconuts Music & Video. The company is also redeveloping the 325,000 sq.ft. Middletown Station in Louisville, KY.
