Real Estate Professionals Making the NewsStarwood Capital Group (203-422-7700) promoted four executives. Karen Purdy was promoted to vice president, asset management. Matthew Winn was promoted to vice president, asset management. Winn has been with the company for over two years with primary responsibilities for the company’s Starwood Wasserman and Starwood Buckingham joint ventures. Barbara Anderson was promoted to vice president and controller. Anderson will be responsible for all financial and investor reporting for the company’s four real estate investment funds. Anderson has also served as controller of Commonfund Realty Investors, Inc. Lloyd Lee was promoted from associate to vice president of acquisitions. Lee will be responsible for structuring and underwriting the firm’s international investments.
Divaris Real Estate (757-497-2113) hired Lori Campbell as a retail leasing associate. Campbell will be responsible for the over one million sq.ft. of retail space in the Hampton Roads, VA market. She joins the company from the position of associate director of retail properties at Advantis in Norfolk. Campbell also served as a leasing assistant and franchise development coordinator at Subway Development Corporation.
Squire, Sanders & Dempsey (813-229-3321) opened an office in Tampa, FL to focus on the areas real estate market. The office will be headed by partners Stephen J. Mitchell and Joseph D. Edwards. The men were founding shareholders in Annis, Mitchell, Cockey, Edwards & Roehn, P.A. and bring eight associates from that firm to Squire, Sander & Dempsey.
Stiles Corporation (954-627-9300) hired Nick Banks as director of finance and dispositions for the Stiles Capital Group. Banks joins the company from GE Capital where he served as an associate director and on the underwriting team.
CB Richard Ellis (561-394-2100) hired William T. Wassey as director of asset services. Wassey has 25 years of real estate experience, most recentley serving as president of Codina Real Estate Management.
Chicago Title (619-239-6081) hired Mark Severson as assitant vice president/national sales. Severson joins the company from a similar position at First American Title and has served as a lease financing and sales representative with Amplicon Financial.
Pace Properties (314-968-9898) promoted Carole L. Jamison to vice president of property services.
Kmart Corporation (248-643-1000) hired John M. Foster as senior vice president, real estate management. Foster has 15 years experience in real estate, most recently serving as vice presidnet and general manager for Cole National Company. |
