Krause’s Furniture (714-990-3100) is closing 25 stores nationwide. The company will operate 57 units after the closures are complete. The closing Krause’s Furniture stores include: five units in the Dallas TX area; four stores in Houston TX and one each in Chula Vista CA; La Mesa CA; Los Angeles CA; Montclair CA; Palm Desert CA; Sacramento CA; San Bernadino CA; Santa Clarita CA; Van Nuys CA; Lakewood WA; Clackmas OR; Albuquerque NM and Las Vegas NV. Three Castro Convertible units will also be closed in Brookfield CT; Metuchen NJ and Elmhurst NY. The company is in chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

Taco Bell (949-863-4500) closed its location at Colonial Plaza in Waterbury CT. The struggling center is located on Thomaston Avenue. There are two remaining Taco Bell locations in Waterbury located on Chase Avenue and in the food court at Brass Mill Mall.
