Real Estate Professionals Making the News Marcus & Millchap (212-832-4500) recently hired commercial real estate broker Richard Tola formerly of NY firm Massey Knakal Realty Services and founder of TheAskingPrice.com. His previous professional experience includes investment banking at Goldman & Sachs Drexel Burnham Lambert and Libra Investments. He was an international bank consultant for the Profit Management Group. Tola also worked for real estate firm Bond Street Advisors. At Marcus & Millchap Tola will provide market research transaction management and real estate advisory services. Marcus & Millchap employs more than 600 brokers in 35 markets with a singular focus on investment brokerage. The firm also handles real estate sales and leasing transactions for all property types including residential office retail and industrial sites. Tedeschi Realty Corp. (781-871-6900) has promoted John W. Whalen Jr. to the position of Vice President of Properties. The commercial retail real estate development construction leasing and management firm also has promoted Peter C. Zona to the dual position of Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. The firm is actively seeking land for development existing shopping centers and qualified tenants in the southern New England states. 3rd Works LLC (619-702-3325) has named Gregory R. Gunther as Vice President of Retail Services. Gunther previously led the Tenant Services for TrizecHahn Development in its Hollywood & Highland project and was Principal of Peak Realty Advisors. His responsibilities will include managing the Tenant Services and Project Management division of the firm which currently handles more than $300 million in new retail development projects and 11 million square feet of retail portfolios. Gunther also will propose marketing strategies and pursue new business opportunities for the firm. 3rd Works currently handles project management and tenant services for several retail developments across the country including the Irvine Spectrum Center Long Beach CityPlace and The Pike in CA and the Aspen Grove and Briargate lifestyle centers in CO. Corridor RFS Real Estate (410-625-1400) was established by public accounting firm Reznick Fedder & Silverman and Corridor Commercial Real Estate Group. The venture will provide commercial real estate brokerage services investments and business opportunities to clients. Brokers and support staff members of the Corridor Commercial Real Estate Group will move to the RFS downtown Baltimore MD offices. The company also is actively recruiting real estate professionals. |
