Lease Signings


AmCap Properties (303-321-1500) leased the following properties in CO: two leases to Signature Cleaners 1 465 sq.ft. in the Village Center West in Highlands Ranch and 1 400 sq.ft. in the Castle Pines Village in Douglas County; Le Peep Restaurant took 2 536 sq.ft. in the Milestone Shopping Center in Castle Rock; 2 000 sq.ft. at the Market Square Shopping Center in Arvada went to Noodles & Company; Ranch Bikes took 1 345 sq.ft. at the Stonegate Village Center in Parker; 1 040 sq.ft. at the High Point Marketplace in Aurora went to the Jewelry and Watch House; Modern Nails took 600 sq.ft. at Market Square-Wadsworth & Jewel in Lakewood; and 1 300 sq.ft. went to Cynthia’s Aromatherapy at the Willow Run Shopping Center in Westminster.

Colliers Dickinson (904-358-1206) brokered the lease of 1 220 sq.ft. to Bonnie Mariera at The Village Shoppes at San Pablo on Atlantic Boulevard in Jacksonville FL.

Advantis Real Estate Services (919-493-6905) signed a lease with Haynes Furniture for a 4 068 sq.ft. furnishings design center at Bermuda Greens in Kitty Hawk NC. Kroger leased 35 000 sq.ft. for a store set to open in Spring 2002.

Selig Enterprises (404-876-5511) brokered a lease to the Kroger Co. for the anchor spot at Brookwood Place on Peachtree Street in midtown Atlanta GA. Spa Sydell also will take a 14 000 sq.ft. space at the mixed-use project.

Federal Realty (408-551-4666) brokered a lease to clothing company Diesel for a store in the Santana Row shopping center in CA. Diesel operates eight retail stores and three megastores across the country.

Mid-America/Chainlinks (630-954-7300) signed leases with Borders Inc. for a 20 656 sq.ft. location in downtown Indianapolis IN; a 23 000 sq.ft. store in Carmel IN and a 23 000 sq.ft. site in Aurora CO. The company also brokered a lease of a 46 000 sq.ft. former SuperValu location to Best Buy.

J.P. Weigand & Sons Inc. (316-262-6400) brokered leases to Crestview Wine and Spirits College Hill Cleaners and Curves for Women in the Crestview Plaza in Wichita KS.

The Ainbinder Co. (713-892-5600) leased space at the second phase of the Grapevine Crossing Shopping Center in Houston TX for a 62 000 sq.ft. Academy Sports and Outdoors store.

Bixby Commons LLC (314-994-4444) has leased space to Walgreens and Lowe’s Home Improvement Warehouse in a planned 36-acre development on the corner of Memorial Drive and 111th Street in New Bixby OK. Lowe’s is planning a 121 000 sq.ft. store on 15.14 acres. Walgreens will be built on 1.68 acres.

Ocwen Financial Group (561-681-8957) leased the former Montgomery Ward location at Cortez Plaza in Manatee FL to Burlington Coat Factory which also may be close to signing a deal to lease the former Kmart location on Cattleman Road in Sarasota FL.

Southeastern Realty Group Inc. (407-629-5595) negotiated a 3 051 sq.ft. three-year lease to the Bootery a 308 sq.ft. one-year lease to Wedding Professionals and a 1 780 sq.ft. three-year lease to Bob & Elliot’s Piano Gallery at the Oak Grove Shoppes in Altamonte Springs FL.

Ramsey Real Estate Group (619-233-0825) along with Grosvenor Square Inc. signed a lease with Child’s Play Toys for a 1 650 sq.ft. space on South Catalina Avenue in the Riviera Village section of Redondo Beach CA.

Landau & Heyman (312-780-1933) signed five leases in the 1.2 million sq.ft. Glenbrook Square Mall in Fort Wayne IN to Charlotte Russe Christopher Banks CJ Banks Hollister and American Greetings.

Innovative Realty Inc. (716-684-9000) signed five leases with Dollar General Stores for locations in NY: Fredonia Buffalo Niagra Falls Lewiston and Lockport. The firm also leased 11 000 sq.ft. to Famous Footwear at Eastgate Plaza in Clarence NY.

Ershig Properties Inc. (270-826-0595) signed leases with the following tenants: Tuesday Morning took 6 860 sq.ft. for a five-year term at Ken’s Plaza in Johnson City TN; Dollar Tree Stores took 10 069 sq.ft. for five years at the Three Star Mall in McMinnville TN; Fred’s Inc. signed two five-year leases 20 000 sq.ft. at Town & Country Shopping Center in Fayette AL and 18 000 sq.ft. at Canterberry Station in Gadsden AL; 5 600 sq.ft. at the Old Orchard Shopping Center in Henderson KY went to Family Dollar Stores Inc. for five years; 3 000 sq.ft. in the Brickyard Plaza in Henderson KY went to Magic Nails for three years; Sally Beauty Co. leased 3 000 sq.ft. at the Summit Plaza in Ashland KY for five years and Sun Com Communications took 700 sq.ft. at the Parkway Mall Plaza in Madisonville KY.

Taubman Centers Inc. (248-258-6800) has agreed to an amendment of its long-term lease of the International Plaza site in Tampa FL that will bring $102.1 million in payments to the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority over 80 years.

Advantis Real Estate Co. (757-627-0661) leased 30 000 sq.ft. to Bed Bath & Beyond 30 187 sq.ft. to Ross Dress for Less and 12 060 sq.ft. to Shoe Carnival at the Northepoint Shopping Center in Durham NC.

Neal Realty & Investments Inc. (954-568-0530) brokered the lease of 660 sq.ft. to Cuts USA at The Shoppes of North Bay Village in North Bay Village FL. The lease has a five-year term with a consideration of $58 350. The company also brokered a five-year lease worth $273 307 to Little Gym for 4 165 sq.ft. at the Palm Springs Plaza in Coral Springs FL.

Goldman Retail Associates (310-235-0444) leased 3 290 sq.ft. to Brand Names for Less in Panorama City CA.

H&R Retail/Chainlinks (301-656-3030) brokered a 36 000 sq.ft. lease to Fresh Fields/Whole Foods Market at the Kentlands Marketplace Shopping Center in Gaithersburg MD.

Sigma National Inc. (804-320-6100) brokered the lease of 37 961 sq.ft. to Food Lion and 20 000 sq.ft. to Office Max at Bermuda Crossroads in Chester VA. The company brokered the lease of 9 460 sq.ft. to Pier 1 Imports and 8 050 sq.ft. to Rack Room Shoes at Commonwealth Centre II in Chesterfield VA. The company also brokered the following leases at Harbour View Station East in Suffolk VA: Mattress King leased 3 400 sq.ft. Radio Shack 2 700 sq.ft. Payless Shoe Source 2 400 sq.ft. Hair Cuttery 1 200 sq.ft. and Luxury Nails 700 sq.ft. The company brokered the lease of 1 072 sq.ft. to Black Forest Gifts at Valley View Station in Roanoke VA. The company also brokered the lease of 1 600 sq.ft. to Curves for Women at Courthouse Commons in Chesterfield VA.

Levey Miller Maretz LLC (203-389-5377) brokered the lease of 10 000 sq.ft. to Jimmy’s at West Haven Post in West Haven CT. The clothing and footwear retailer has a five-year term with options in the center located on Route 1. The company also brokered the lease of 5 000 sq.ft. to Community Crusade for Children Inc. at East Haven Shopping Center in East Haven CT. The 160 000 sq.ft. center is anchored by National Wholesale Liquidators.
