The Ainbinder Co. is developing a 60,000 sq.ft. shopping center in Las Cruces, NM. The center will be located on seven acres that formerly were occupied by Montgomery Ward. Best Buy will anchor the center with a 30,000 sq.ft. store that is expected to open this Summer.

Center Pointe Associates, LP is developing Center Pointe Plaza Phase II in Christiana, DE. The 187,900 sq.ft. project is the second phase of the plaza, creating a 450,000 sq.ft. power center. The project will feature anchor spaces up to 61,600 sq.ft., inline spaces and an outparcel with a drive-thru for a bank. Construction is expected to begin in the Summer with completion slated for Spring 2003. Existing cotenants include Home Depot, Babies "R" Us, T.J. Maxx and Modell’s Sporting Goods.

Peter D. Cumming & Associates is developing 3600 Woodward, a retail and residential development located on a 4.5-acre site at the intersection of Woodward and Mack Avenues in Detroit, MI. The first phases of 3600 Woodward will consist of retail with frontage on Woodward Avenue, three stories of residential lofts above and a 1,000-car parking structure. Construction of this phase will commence during the second quarter of 2002.

Ap Simon is developing the 16,000 sq.ft. Overlake Square in Bellevue, WA in the former Savi Clothing Superstore building. The center will be tenanted by a 4,000 sq.ft. Overlake Conference Center; Regal Video and Music; a boutique offering imported clothing, shoes and costume jewelry; a full-service beauty salon, a jewelry store and a Halal-style meat market. In addition, the mall will have kiosks serving coffee and ice cream as well as booths offering real estate and financing consulting services. The mall is expected to open by May.

Holrob Investments, LLC is developing the first phase of Franklin Terrace Shopping Center at the intersection of Interstate 181 and State of Franklin Road in Johnson City, TN. The project will be anchored by a 24,000 sq.ft. Barnes & Noble, Chili’s Bar & Grill and 15,200 sq.ft. of specialty shops. One additional restaurant site is available. The project features a pedestrian terrace overlooking a natural running creek. The second phase of the center has pads available for anchor tenants.

Center Trust Inc. is redeveloping the El Camino North Shopping Center located at the intersection of Highway 78 and El Camino Real in Oceanside, CA. The redevelopment will transform the shop space and vacant theater into more marketable spaces for high-profile national retailers. The plan includes an upgrade of the entire center’s facade with a contemporary Spanish colonial theme and improved parking lot traffic flow.

Edens & Avant is developing The Shoppes at Oliver’s Crossing at the intersection of Peter’s Creek Parkway and Fishel Road in Winston-Salem, NC. The 76,900 sq.ft. center will be anchored by a 43,000 sq.ft. Lowes Foods and will feature other national and regional retailers. Construction on the center is expected to begin during May and Lowes Foods is expected to open during Spring 2003.

Ryan Companies US, Inc. is developing a 340,000 sq.ft. retail project on a 60-acre site in Savage, MN. The development will include a 174,000 sq.ft. Super Target and a 100,000 sq.ft. Home Depot. The plan also includes a 200-unit townhouse development on 16 acres that may be developed by The Rottlund Co.

Cullinan Properties Ltd. and Northwest Peoria Retail Development LP are developing The Shoppes at Grand Prairie on an 80-acre site in Peoria, IL. The 493,962 sq.ft. plaza will be anchored by Bergner’s, Galyan’s and Linens ‘n Things. The open-air center is about 80% leased and expected to open during April 2003.
