Real Estate Professionals Making The News

EMG (410-785-6200) hired Elbert P. Ashland as vice president, government services. Ashland, previously an executive with Professional Service Industries, will direct EMG’s services in the western U.S. to the public sector.

Aries Deitch & Endelson, Inc. (914-949-2800) tapped Paul R. Guthrie as senior director. Guthrie previously was executive vice president at American Continental Properties and Acadia Realty Trust.

Draper and Kramer, Inc. (312-346-8600) tapped Joseph M. Kunst as a vice president of the company’s retail properties services division. Kunst also will be responsible for leasing other projects, spearheading new business development and representing clients buying and selling investment property. Previously, Kunst was a senior broker at Inland Real Estate.

GVA Beitler Commercial Realty Services (949-851-6900) hired T. Ryan Pickren as director for the Orange County, CA region. Pickren, who will work out of the company’s Irvine, CA office, previously was executive vice president of brokerage services at Charles Dunn Co.

United Commercial Realty/ChainLinks (214-526-6262) promoted Paul Makens to vice president of the firm. Makens joined the company in 1998 as an intern. The company also promoted Darrell Hernandez to executive vice president and principal. Hernandez will be responsible for the management and recruitment of associates, as well as new business procurement for the company.

Finard & Co. (781-273-5555) hired Kathleen M. McNamara as a property manager. She will be responsible for overseeing retail properties in CT and MA. McNamara previously was a property manager at Spaulding & Slye.

Coldwater Creek Inc. (208-263-2266) tapped Jeffery Parisian as senior director of real estate. Parisian has more than 10 years of experience at The Disney Store, Inc.

Kennedy-Wilson, Inc. (310-887-6488) appointed Ethan Penner as president. His responsibilities will include creating strategic ventures aimed at investing in real estate and debt that is secured by real estate. Panner also will work to expand the company’s real estate platform.

Grubb & Ellis Co. (800-877-9066) and Coldstream Real Estate Advisors, Inc. (603-623-0100) formed Grubb & Ellis|Coldstream Real Estate Advisors, Inc., an affiliation to strengthen the companies’ capabilities in ME and NH.

JDN Realty Corp. (404-262-3252) promoted Suzanne Yaeger to vice president, director of development outparcel sales and leasing. Yaeger, who has 15 years of retail leasing experience, has been with the company since 1997. In her new position, Yaeger will develop long-term relationships with complementary retailers to enhance the company’s portfolio and future developments of grocery-anchored and value-oriented shopping centers.
