Lease Signings

CB Richard Ellis (602-735-5555 for AZ sites and 714-939-2100 for CA sites) brokered the lease of 26 000 sq.ft. at the Village at Arrowhead shopping center in Glendale AZ to AJ’s Fine Foods on behalf of Kitchell Development for an aggregate rent of $8.6 million. AJ’s Fine Foods will serve as the anchor tenant of the center located on the corner of 67th Avenue and Loop 101. The company also negotiated a 20-year lease of 27 112 sq.ft. at 17482 Yorba Linda Boulevard in Yorba Linda CA to Wild Oats Market which does business as Henry’s Marketplace on behalf of Valley View Enterprises. The company also brokered the lease of 60 964 sq.ft. at 205 South Puente Street in Brea CA to Nature’s Best on behalf of Twentieth Century Plastics for a total consideration of $784 729. The company also negotiated the lease of 2 775 sq.ft. at 1345 South Harbor Boulevard in Fullerton CA to AB Cellular on behalf of Anaton Associates. The lease is for a term of five years. The company also brokered the lease of 1 191 sq.ft. at SeaCliff Village in Huntington Beach CA to First Class Tans. The lease is for five years and a total consideration of $206 330. The company also brokered the following leases at the 350 000 sq.ft. Village at Desert Ridge in Phoenix AZ on behalf of Vestar Development Company: 4 045 sq.ft. for 10 years to Scorch Nightclub; 4 100 sq.ft. for 10 years to Limited Too; 1 720 sq.ft. for 10 years to Fatburger Restaurant; 1 675 sq.ft. for 10 years to Hot Topic Clothing; 1 154 sq.ft. for 10 years to Starbucks and 730 sq.ft. for five years to Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.

Stirling Properties (985-898-2022) brokered the following leases in LA: 4 000 sq.ft. to Malacchi Mattress America at Siegan Lane and I-10 in Baton Rouge on behalf of Weingarten REIT; 13 000 sq.ft. to Hancock Fabrics Inc. at Colonial Acres Shopping Center in Houma on behalf of Colonial Acres Limited Partnership; 4 810 sq.ft. to Blockbuster Video at Palace Centre East in Hammond on behalf of Palace Centre Properties LLC; 2 800 sq.ft. to Today’s Nails and Tanning Inc. at the Eastgate Shopping Centre in Shreveport on behalf of Eastgate Associates LP; 160 000 sq.ft. at the Clearview Mall in Metairie to Target Corporation; 43 560 sq.ft. at Manhattan Place Shopping Center in Harvey to IHOP Properties Inc.; 5 000 sq.ft. at 5500 Magazine Street in New Orleans to The Front Room Inc. and 2 028 sq.ft. at Clearview Palms Shopping Center in Metairie to Smoothie King.

H & R Retail (703-356-8230) brokered the lease of 30 000 sq.ft. to Dick’s Sporting Goods at Dulles Town Crossing in Sterling VA on behalf of AIG Baker/Dulles LLC. The center is located at the intersection of Nokes Boulevard and Route 28.

Flocke & Avoyer Commercial Real Estate (619-280-2600) brokered the following leases in CA: 16 200 sq.ft. for a 10-year term in the Clairemont Town Square in San Diego to 99 Cent Only Stores which is expected to open in December 2002; 28 444 sq.ft. for a 20-year term at the Valhalla Village Retail Center in El Cajon to 7-Eleven Inc.; 1 880 sq.ft. for a 10-year term at the Plaza Paseo Real in Carlsbad to LCCR Holdings Inc. which trades under the name La Costa Coffee Roasting and expects to open next month; 3 120 sq.ft. for a 20-year term at the Bonnie Brae Shopping Center in Bonita to KFC of America Inc. for a Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant; 3 554 sq.ft. for a three-year term at 3806 4th Avenue in San Diego to Sur Trading Inc. a furniture store on behalf of Rindal & Associates and 839 sq.ft. for a 39-month term to Pacific Lacrosse LLC a sporting goods store at The Mercado located at 11828 Rancho Bernardo Road in San Diego.

Chase Commercial Real Estate LLC (203-324-0800) brokered the lease of a 4 000 sq.ft. former Golf Day store at Poughkeepsie Plaza in Poughkeepsie NY on behalf of The Vitamin Shoppe. The center which also includes Pier 1 Imports is located on Route 9. The Vitamin Shoppe will occupy endcap space.

HSA Commercial Real Estate (312-332-3555) brokered the following leases on behalf of Chicago Home Fitness: 12 057 sq.ft. at University Plaza in Downers Grove IL and 2 887 sq.ft. at the Deerfield Village Center in Deerfield IL. The company also negotiated the lease of 6 000 sq.ft. at 6119 U.S. Highway 14 in Crystal Lake IL to Fitness Experience.

Federal Realty Investment Trust (408-551-4666) signed leases with Bottega Veneta Burberry Oilily and Sur La Table at Santana Row in San Jose CA.

Sansone Group (314-727-6664) negotiated the lease of 1 600 sq.ft. to Sally Beauty Supply Inc. at Jefferson County Plaza on 3825 Vogel Road in Jefferson County MO on behalf of Jefferson County Plaza LLC The company also brokered the lease of 36 140 sq.ft. to Bed Bath & Beyond at the Plaza at Sunset Hills in Sunset Hills MO on behalf of GS Sunset LLC.
