New England Development Company is proposing to add stores at the Solomon Pond Mall in Marlborough MA. The City Council’s Urban Affairs Committee is reviewing an eight-part zoning change that would allow construction of stores on two parcels on either side of the existing mall. Vickerry Realty Trust is redeveloping the Nashua Mall in Nashua NH. Plans for the mall include a Home Depot and Kohl’s which are under construction and expected to open during April. The existing Haluwa Shorty’s Denny’s Radio Shack and Burlington Coat Factory will remain. The remainder of the mall will be demolished and replaced with a 50 000 sq.ft. Christmas Tree Shop. In addition a 55 700 sq.ft. building will be used to house existing stores in the mall until it is replaced with a new facilty to serve a tenant who has not yet been identified.
