Lease Signings


Steiner + Associates (614-414-7300) leased 80,000 sq.ft. at its The West Chester Market Square project to Galyan’s Trading Company, Inc., as well as space for a 16 to 18 screen theater to Showcase Cinemas. The master-planned development, located in West Chester Township, OH, is expected to open during Fall 2003.

Aries Deitch & Endelson, Inc. (914-949-2800) represented Arcadian Garden Center in the lease of 13,640 sq.ft. on 3.5 acres on Route 9 in Ossining, NY to CVS Corp.

Mid-America Asset Management, Inc. (630-954-7300) brokered a lease of 3,585 sq.ft. at Finley Square in Downers Grove, IL from Xsite Real Estate to Second Swing, a new and preowned golf equipment retailer that is expected to open by early Summer. The space previously was occupied by Work ‘n Gear, which vacated the space following its bankruptcy filing. The company also brokered the lease of 2,341 sq.ft. at Plaza del Prado in Glenview, IL to Viccino’s Pizza Company, which is expected to open this Summer. In addition, the company brokered the lease of 12,347 sq.ft. at Wind Point Center in Batavia, IL to Party City, which is expected to open this Summer. The company also brokered a lease for 1,322 sq.ft. to New Lenox Cycling & Fitness at Nelson Plaza in New Lenox, IL. In addition, the company brokered the following leases at Church Street Plaza in Evanston, IL: 1,174 sq.ft. to Sprint, 3,350 sq.ft. to Corner Bakery, 2,625 sq.ft. to Noodles & Company and 21,868 sq.ft. to Borders.

The Woodmont Co. (817-732-4000) negotiated two leases totaling 5,400 sq.ft. at Grant Creek Town Center in Missoula, MT. The company brokered the lease of 1,200 sq.ft. for Bangkok Asian Restaurant and 4,200 sq.ft. for Sleep City USA. A 3,150 sq.ft. lease transaction also was completed for Dunn Edwards Paint at the 220,000 sq.ft. Cottonwood Corners Shopping Center in Alburquerque, NM. The company also completed an 8,000 sq.ft. lease transaction for Famous Footwear at Canyon Park shopping center in Twin Falls, ID.

NAI Issac Commercial Properties, Inc. (859-224-2000) leased space at the 105,666 sq.ft. Chinoe Center in Lexington, KY to Kroger, Edward Jones Investments, Superstar Video, Noah’s Ark Animal Hospital and Southerland’s Greenhouse Flower Shop.

H&R Retail (703-356-8230) brokered the lease of 31,539 sq.ft. to T.J. Maxx and 24,450 sq.ft. to HomeGoods at the 204,000 sq.ft. Olney Village Mart in Olney, MD. The landlord was represented by Carl M. Freeman, LLC.

Edgemark LLC (630-472-1010) brokered the following lease transactions: 1,546 sq.ft. to Lord & Hunt Jewelers at 143rd and Wolf in Orland Park, IL; 1,320 sq.ft. to Khoi Nail Salon at Ashton Pointe in Aurora, IL; 1,500 sq.ft. to VoiceStream at Lakeview in Naperville, IL; 1,600 sq.ft. to Post Net at Merrill Point in Merrillville, IN; 6,000 sq.ft. to Rainbow Apparel at Riverside Square in Chicago, IL; 10,100 sq.ft. to One Price Clothing at Stony Island in Chicago, IL; 24,960 sq.ft. to A.J. Wright at Stoney Island Plaza in Chicago and 2,300 sq.ft. to Two Rivers Dental at Two Rivers Plaza in Bolingbrook, IL.

Sigma National, Inc. (804-320-6100) represented Barnes & Noble in the lease of 22,995 sq.ft. at Harrisonburg Crossing Shopping Center in Harrisonburg, VA. The company also represented Sauer Properties in the lease of 1,400 sq.ft. to John Robert Powers Modeling Agency at Stein Mart Festival Shopping Center in Richmond, VA. The company also represented Commonwealth Centre-Phase II in Richmond, VA in the lease of 4,800 sq.ft. to Kirkland’s.

R.J. Waters & Associates, Inc. (610-444-6000) and Equity Properties, Inc. (610-645-7700) leased 1,400 sq.ft. in the 121,110 sq.ft. Shoppes at Dilworthtown Crossing to L.A. Weight Loss Centers, Inc., which is expected to open during June. The center is located at the intersection of Route 202 and Dilworth Road in Birmingham and Thorbury Townships, PA. The company also leased 81,212, sq.ft., formerly occupied by Ames, to Burlington Coat Factory at Center Point Place located at the intersection of Street and Old York Roads in Warminster, PA. The store is expected to open during September.

HSA Commercial Real Estate (312-332-3555) brokered the following leases for Chicago Home Fitness in IL: 4,514 sq.ft. at Butterfield Corners in Mundelein and 3,000 sq.ft. at Archway Center in Crystal Lake. Horizon Realty Services represented the owner in Mundelein and Bradford Real Estate Cos. represented the owner in Crystal Lake.

The Cafaro Co. (330-747-2661) signed a lease for 3,650 sq.ft. at the Kentucky Oats Mall in Paducah, KY with Aeropostale.

Recckio Real Estate & Development, Inc. (716-631-5555) brokered the lease of 2,000 sq.ft. at Main/Union Quality Shopping Plaza located at 5272 Main Street in Williamsville, NY from Penn Traffic to The Good Feet Store. The store will be the retailer’s first in the market.
