Real Estate Professionals Making the News The Staubach Co. (972-361-5063) tapped John Artope as vice president of Staubach Retail Services’ Dallas, TX office. Artope will advise regional and national retailers in the southwest, with a focus on the restaurant industry. Previously, Artope was president of The Navigator Group, Inc. The Staubach Co. also opened a retail services office in Orlando, FL (800-944-0012). Phil Carter joined the company to head the office. Carter previously was director of retail sales and leasing with Colliers Arnold Commercial Real Estate. Regency Centers (904-598-7000) established regional offices in the Washington, DC and Philadelphia, PA markets. The offices, in Vienna, VA and Bala Cynwyd, PA, are expected to significantly enhance the company’s growth in the Washington, DC and greater Delaware Valley areas. The Vienna office will be managed by Taylor Chess, vice president of investments; Robert J. Mahoney, vice president of construction and Alan Roth, vice president of regional operations for the Mid-Atlantic region. The Bala Cynwyd office will be managed by Powell W. Arms III, vice president of investments. MJB Real Estate Services Corp. (203-222-6200) tapped Diana Miller as a leasing and sales agent. Edens & Avant (800-662-7212) named Terry S. Brown as CEO and promoted Jodie W. McLean to president and chief investment officer. Brown has acted as a financial advisor to the company since 1995 and has been involved in the company’s major capital and property transactions. Previously, Brown was chief executive at Andersen Corporate Finance, LLC. McLean has been chief investment officer at Edens & Avant since 1997. McLean’s responsibilities will include expanding the company’s assets and operations in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions. In addition, the company hired Numa Jerome as senior retail leasing representative for its Mid-Atlantic office in Bethesda, MD. Jerome will be responsible for retail leasing initiatives throughout the Mid-Atlantic regions, including DE, northern VA and the Washington, DC market. American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. (724-779-5226) appointed George Sappenfield to executive vice president of real estate. Previously, Sappenfield was senior vice president of asset management at CBL & Associates Properties, Inc.Capital Lease Funding, LLC (212-217-6300) tapped Christopher Crovatto as director of origination. Crovatto will be responsible for the company’s overall origination strategy and programs. Previously, he was chief financial officer of Markey Stearns, Inc. Metro Commercial Real Estate (847-412-9898) hired Larry Kling as vice president of leasing. Kling will work with new retail clients and support the company’s existing clients and shopping center listings. Previously, Kling was senior director of real estate for the midwest office of Gap, Inc. Insignia Thalhimer (804-697-3444) promoted Lee Warfield to executive vice president. NAI KLNB, Inc. (410-321-0100) hired Dimitri A. Georgelakos as a leasing associate. Previously, Georgelakos handled property management and leasing functions for The Rouse Co. His responsibilities include retail sales and leasing primarily in northern VA. The company also hired Bob Morris, who works in the company’s Columbia, MD office to focus on landlord and tenant representation of retail real estate in the Mid-Atlantic region. Previously, Morris worked in retail operations at The Home Depot and Bank of America. In addition, the company hired Kristy Schuma as a leasing associate for the firm’s McLean, VA office. Previously, Schuma worked on the acquisitions and dispositions team at Carl M. Freeman Associates. Her responsibilities include retail leasing and sales for MD and northern VA. |
