Real Estate Professionals Making the News Wells Real Estate Funds (770-243-8163) recently brought on board Tom Hallowell as the director of sale/leasebacks to lead the firm’s efforts in expanding its sale/leaseback investment portfolio nationwide. Prior to joining Wells, Hallowell served as managing director with the Structured Finance Group at Cushman & Wakefield. California Pizza Kitchen (310-342-4656) named Cal N. Marsh director of real estate. Sugueti will be responsible for the HI, WA and the west coast. Prior to joining California Pizza Kitchen, Marsh served as national director of real estate for Z’Tejas Southwestern Grill. The Ozer Group LLC (781-707-4224) formed Ozer Real Estate Services. The new division will provide client advisory and project management services to retailers including mitigation and renegotiation, designation rights, sourcing replacement tenants and lease valuations for third parties. David Peress, chief operating officer for The Ozer Group, will assume the additional responsibility of leading the new division. Advantis Real Estate Services Company (919-493-6905) has appointed Charles "Chuck" Valdez as an associate. Valdez previously served as an associate with Julien J. Studley Company, a privately held New York-based commercial real estate firm. The Nash Finch Company (952-857-4187) named William F. Harbecke as vice president of real estate. Harbecke will head the company’s real estate and construction activities. Before joining Finch, Harbecke worked for Jewel Companies, American Stores and Albertson’s. Hilco (800-524-4526) hired Benjamin L. Norman as executive vice president. Norman’s prior experience includes working in the Chicago offices of Jones, Day, Reaves & Pogue, as well as Holleb & Colff. EDEN Property Co. was recently formed by Dennis Cieri and Edward Jaten (201-804-7744) . EDEN will focus on acquisition of development and retail properties. NAI ISAAC Commercial Properties, Inc. (859-224-2000) named Brandon Plunkett and Danny Erwin as associates. Both Plunkett and Erwin will focus on the sales and leasing of commercial properties in Lexington, KY. NAI ISAAC specializes in the leasing, sales and management of commercial real estate in the central KY area. The company also provides site selection assistance, tenant representation and offers a variety of consulting services including market and feasibility studies. |
