Sizzling Express operates seven locations in VA and Washington, DC. The eateries, specializing in hot grill, sushi and deli items, occupy spaces of 3,000 sq.ft. to 15,000 sq.ft. in urban/downtown areas and power, specialty and strip centers. Plans call for six openings during the coming 18 months. Expansion will take place throughout MD, VA and Washington, DC, with representation by Transwestern Commercial Services. Leases running 10 years with two five-year options are typical. A vanilla shell with restaurant upgrade is required. Gordon Biersch operates 23 locations in CA, CO, FL, GA, HI, NC, NV, OH, WA and Washington, DC. The restaurants occupy spaces of 9,000 sq.ft. to 12,000 sq.ft. in urban/downtown areas and specialty and entertainment centers. Growth opportunities are sought throughout Rockville, MD; Reston and Tysons Corner, VA and Washington, DC during the coming 18 months, with representation by Transwestern Commercial Services. Pizzeria Paradiso operates one location in Washington, DC. Space of 2,500 sq.ft. is required. During the coming three years, the company is planning to open three locations in urban/downtown areas, targeting the markets of Old Town Alexandria and Clarendon/Courthouse, VA, Georgetown and metro Washington, DC.
