(240-497-1192) is representing Darden Restaurants, Inc., which recently acquired the former Don Pablo’s location in Bowie, MD for its first Smokey Bones restaurant in the Washington, DC area. Darden currently operates 12 Red Lobster locations and 10 Olive Garden restaurants in the Washington, DC metro area. Smokey Bones has 27 restaurants nationwide.

Glaze Commercial Real Estate Advisors (816-531-2323) is representing Desert Moon Fresh Mexican Grille in its planned expansion in the Southeast and Midwest, as well as in the Northeast. This year, Desert Moon will open restaurants in Topeka, KS; Nashua, NH and southern FL. Currently, Desert Moon operates 16 Fresh Mexican Grilles stretching from Rochester, NY to Atlanta, GA.

CB Richard Ellis (515-224-4900) is representing Maid-Rite Corp. in its expansion plans throughout the Midwest, where it presently oversees 66 franchisees. The restaurant chain, specializing in sandwiches and ice cream malts, is looking for spaces of 2,000 sq.ft. in either freestanding locations or endcaps with drive-thrus.
