Lease Signings


Concord Mills (704-979-5000) signed a lease for 4,200 sq.ft. with Champs Sporting Goods and 6,700 sq.ft. with Forever 21 at Concord Mills Mall located in Charlotte, NC. Champs currently operates 575 stores nationwide.

CB Richard Ellis, Inc. (847-572-1450) completed five leases totaling 48,000 sq.ft. at Raceway Park Shopping Center located at the intersection of Ashland Avenue and Vermont Street in Calumet Park, IL. The company signed leases with A.J. Wright, Shoe Carnival, Washington Mutual Bank, Fashion Cents and CJ Beauty Supply. The center is anchored by Ultra Foods.

Crosland (704-561-5272) signed leases with the following stores at Birkdale Village located at the intersection of Sam Furr Road, Birkdale Commons Parkway and Lindholm Drive in Huntersville, NC: 13,400 sq.ft. with Walgreens; 6,000 sq.ft. with Beauty Brands and 2,400 sq.ft. with Wolf Camera store. The center currently has space available of 1,600 sq.ft. Walgreens is slated for an October opening, while both Beauty Brands and Wolf Camera are slated to open during November.

Kimel Co., Inc. (301-765-9600) signed leases with Fu Shing Cafe and Joanne’s Bed & Back at 1350 Rockville Pike in Rockville, MD. The leases total 5,025 sq.ft. Fu Shing Cafe currently operates three locations, while Joanne’s Bed & Back operates 11 locations.

JBG Rosenfeld Retail (301-657-0700) signed leases with Jackson Hewitt at shopping centers throughout northern VA. The six locations extend from Annandale to Warrenton, including a 2,000 sq.ft. office at Bradlick Shopping Center; a 1,500 sq.ft. office at Warrenton Town Center; a 1,200 sq.ft. location at Buckingham Shopping Center in Arlington; and three smaller offices in Annandale’s Heritage Center; Rose Hill Shopping Center in Springfield and the Promenade at Manassas in Manassas. Jackson Hewitt currently operates 4,000 locations throughout 48 states.

Staubach Retail Services (972-361-5063) signed a lease for 6,000 sq.ft. with Car Toys, Inc. at Wyndham Plaza located at the intersection of FM 1709 and Nolan Drive in Southlake, TX. Opening is slated for the Fall.

Flocke & Avoyer Commercial Real Estate (619-280-2600) signed a lease for 2,950 sq.ft. with Point Loma Credit Union at Pacific Coast Plaza located at the intersection of Highway 78 and Jefferson in Oceanside, CA. The lease is for five years and a consideration of $503,052. Opening is slated for October.

Garrick-Aug Associates (212-557-9090) signed a 15-year lease for a 650 sq.ft. space with Face Stockholm, an international boutique and cosmetic company, between 90th and 91st Streets in New York, NY. The company also signed a lease for 4,500 sq.ft. with Subway for a flagship store located at 422 Madison Avenue in New York, NY. The term of the lease is for 18 years.

Rothwood Real Estate Services, Inc. (516-466-3600) signed a lease for 30,000 sq.ft. with Stop & Shop at a former supermarket in Island Park, NY.

Legend Properties (215-599-0312) signed a lease for 17,000 sq.ft. with Rainforest Cafe on the boardwalk in Atlantic City, NJ. The space was formerly occupied by Warner Brothers. Opening is slated for February 2004.
