Lease Signings


Divaris Real Estate Co., Inc. (757-497-2113) signed a lease with Bare Feet Enterprises for 10,364 sq.ft. in the Riverdale Plaza Shopping Center. The center is located at 1080 West Mercury Boulevard in Hampton, VA. Cotenants include Office Depot, JoAnne Fabrics, Queen’s Bridal, Andrea’s Pizza and Medik’s Market. The company also signed a lease with Sonic Restaurants, Inc. for 0.972 acres in the Woods Corner Shopping Center in Virginia Beach, VA. The shopping center is anchored by Farm Fresh. The company also signed a lease with Check ‘N Go for 3,000 sq.ft. in Newmarket South Shopping Center on Mercury Boulevard in Newport News, VA. The company also signed a lease with Unique Hair Salon for 2,536 sq.ft. in East Towne Plaza, located at 2923 Williamsburg Road in Richmond, VA.

UrbanAmerican, L.P. (212-612-9097) signed a five-year lease for 1,000 sq.ft. for Personnel Plus at the Eastover Shopping Center in Oxon Hill, MO. The 249,000 sq.ft. shopping center is cotenanted by CVS Pharmacy, New York Fashions, The Furniture Place, Payless Shoe Source, Funco and Fashion Cents.

RMC Property Group (800-728-5379) negotiated the following leases: 103,161 sq.ft. with Wal*Mart in the Wal*Mart Plaza in Gainesville, FL; 10,992 sq.ft. for Dockside Imports at Seminole Mall, located at 11201 Park Boulevard North in Seminole, FL; 4,289 sq.ft. for After Hours Pediatrics at East Lake Woodlands in Palm Harbor, FL; 5,232 sq.ft. for Video USA at Disston Plaza in St. Petersburg, FL; 5,500 sq.ft. for John Moore Floor Covering at Sun City Center Plaza in Sun City, FL; 8,000 sq.ft. for Dollar General at Western Way Shopping Center in Lakeland, FL; in addition to 3,800 sq.ft. for One Price Clothing; 3,000 sq.ft. for The Liquor and Tobacco Depot and 2,500 sq.ft. for Radio Shack.

Sigma National, Inc. (804-320-6100) signed a 6,720 sq.ft. lease with Glory Days Grill at The Glen Eagles Shopping Center in Richmond, VA. The company also signed a 2,000 sq.ft. lease for Atlantic Tanning at Silver Plaza in Richmond, VA as well as a 4,879 sq.ft. lease for Mattress King at Virginia Center Commons in Richmond, VA.

NAI Hoffman (630-932-1234) has signed the following leases at Tri-City Shopping Center, which is located at the intersection of Randall Road and Route 38 in St. Charles, IL: 3,000 sq.ft. to Victory Beauty; 2,373 sq.ft. to Charter One Bank; 2,000 sq.ft. to Pick Up Stix Restaurant; 1,400 sq.ft. to Mailboxes, Etc.; 1,295 sq.ft. to Papa Murphy’s Pizza and 1,731 sq.ft. to US Cellular.

Island Associates Real Estate (631-587-5050) brokered the lease of a 6,000 sq.ft. laundromat in Deer Park, NY. The lease is for 20 years with an aggregate rental of $1.5 million. The store is located near Home Depot, Kohl’s and Stop & Shop Shopping Center. The company also leased 1,400 sq.ft. to Gotham, Inc., a novelty gift shop in Middle Island, NY. The company also brokered a 19,000 sq.ft. lease with Dolphin Fitness Centers at 51 Frost Street in Westbury, NY. Island Associates also brokered a lease with CVS at the intersection of 5th Avenue and Brook Avenue in North Bay Shore, NY with an aggregate rental in excess of $6 million.

Equinox Development (518-458-2118) signed leases with Petco and RadioShack at The Crossing in Clifton Park, NY. Petco will occupy the 15,000 sq.ft. building between Home Depot and Target with an opening planned for the Spring. RadioShack will move into the 2,700 sq.ft. building adjacent to OfficeMax early next year.

Excess Space Disposition, Inc. (516-365-6400) completed the following transactions: 6,852 sq.ft. to Kudzu Book Traders, Inc. as a sublease from Advance Auto at 4367 Roswell Road in Atlanta, GA and 1,565 sq.ft. to R&G Automotive as a sublease from Jiffy Lube at 9070 Dayton Lebanon Pike in Dayton, OH.

Flocke & Avoyer Commercial Real Estate (619-280-2600) represented Sweetwater Plaza, located at 1747 Sweetwater Road in National City, CA in the leasing of 675 sq.ft. to Allstate Insurance. The lease is for five years and a consideration of $59,419. The company also represented Gatlin Development Co. in the leasing of 1,605 sq.ft. in the East County Village at 13687 Camino Canada to Sun Kissed Tanning & Beauty, LLC. The lease is for five years and a consideration of $112,193.

W.C. & A.N. Miller Cos. (202-895-2700) leased 2,000 sq.ft. to Aidan Design and 1,000 sq.ft. to Nantucket Body & Tan at The Shops at Sumner Place in Washington, DC.

Staubach Retail Services (972-361-5063) secured a 6,000 sq.ft. lease for Aaron Brothers Art & Frame at Midway Market located at 3139 Frankford Road in Dallas, TX. The store is the 10th location for the Aaron Brothers in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

JBG Rosenfeld (301-657-0700) secured the following leases: 11,000 sq.ft. for The Franklin Montessori School in the former Ethan Allen building on Connecticut Avenue in Rockville, MD and 3,500 sq.ft. for Cosi restaurant at the intersection of 13th and K Streets in Washington, DC.
