The Cambay Group is developing River Islands At Lathrop, a mixed-use, master-planned development in San Joaquin County, CA. The center will include 11,000 residential units, 350 acres of business park property, 250,000 sq.ft. of retail space, two 18-hole golf courses, three K-12 schools, an animal rescue campus and a 100-acre mixed-use town center with restaurants and community spaces.

Corrigan Properties, Inc. is developing two buildings totaling 13,300 sq.ft. at the intersection of West Silver Spring Drive and North Port Washington Road in Milwaukee, WI. The buildings will be tenanted by a 4,400 sq.ft. Panera Bread and a 2,000 sq.ft. Pearle Vision. Another possible tenant is Jos. A. Bank, a 5,000 sq.ft. men’s clothing store. Opening for the stores is slated for this Fall. The site was formerly occupied by a Ground Round restaurant, which was demolished.

Stark Enterprises is preleasing Crocker Park located in Westlake, OH. NAI Sacramento Valley Commercial is preleasing Phase I of Southport Town Center located at the intersection of Jefferson Boulevard and Lake Washington Boulevard in West Sacramento, CA. Currently, a 125,000 sq.ft. center anchored by Nugget Market is being developed as the first phase of a 260,000 sq.ft. development. The site has spaces available from 1,300 sq.ft. to 20,000 sq.ft., as well as two pad sites. Opening is slated for February 2004. The 27-acre site is located six miles from downtown Sacramento. Plans calls for a village-oriented mixed-use development of over 7,000 acres that includes over 14,000 new housing units, two million sq.ft. of commercial development and 7.6 million sq.ft. of industrial development.

Hawkins Cos. is developing Main Street Market Place, a 140,000 sq.ft. center located at 1400 North Main Street in Logan, UT with an average daily traffic count of 53,827 vehicles. The center is situated on a land area of 15 acres and has spaces available of 15,000 sq.ft. to 20,000 sq.ft., as well as an outlot of 37,587 sq.ft. Opening is slated for October. The center is anchored by Michaels, Staples, Ross and Pier 1 Imports and is cotenanted by Fazoli’s and Chili’s. Area retail includes Sam’s Club, Wal*Mart, Lowe’s Home Improvement, Shopko, Gart Brothers and Home Depot. Kitchell Development Co. is developing Camelback Crossing, a 16-acre neighborhood shopping center at the intersection of Camelback and Dysart Roads in Phoenix, AZ. The center will be anchored by Bashas’ and is slated for a December opening. The center will be cotenanted by Walgreens and will have space of 15,000 sq.ft. available for an additional anchor store, as well as shop and pad space. The center is near Litchfield Park and across from Wigwam Golf and Country Club. Area demographics include a population of 65,000 within five miles.

JBG Rosenfeld is planning to develop Free State, a supermarket-anchored center located in North Bowie, MD. The company will demolish a portion of the 42,000 sq.ft. former Sears, make numerous improvement to the building facade, parking areas and traffic flow. The center will be tenanted by Total Crafts, which signed a lease for 25,000 sq.ft. With the demolition of the Sears, two separate buildings will be created, one of which will be anchored by an existing Giant store. The second building will be anchored by Peebles. Construction is expected to commence this Summer, with the opening slated for January 2004.

Mid-America Real Estate Corp. is preleasing Clybourn Galleria, a 400,000 sq.ft. mixed-use project, including retail, a self-storage facility and office space, located at 1840 and 1845 North Clybourn Avenue in Oakbrook Terrace, IL. The company recently completed lease negotiations with Trader Joe’s, KinderCare and J. Alexander. The project will be cotenanted by Talbots, Ann Taylor Loft and Jos. A. Bank. The space was formerly occupied by Artmark Corp. Plans for 1845 North Clybourn, a vacant lot situated across the street, include 26,000 sq.ft. of retail space.

Colliers International is proposing to develop a Century CineArts project at the intersection of 10th and K Streets in Sacramento, CA. The proposed eight-screen theater project will have up to 34,000 sq.ft. of retail and restaurant space available on the ground floor. Occupancy is planned for 2005.

Sizeler Property Investors, Inc. is expanding Rainbow Square Shopping Center in Dunellon, FL by the addition of 6.4 acres of land. Currently under construction and renovation is 41,000 sq.ft. of retail space comprised of 19,000 sq.ft. for a Tractor Supply store and 22,000 sq.ft. for other tenants. The expansion of the center encompasses approximately 14 acres and 116,000 sq.ft. Area retail includes a Wal*Mart Supercenter.
