Metro Commercial Real Estate (610-642-8253) and The Daniel Group, LLC (410-435-4300) entered into a joint venture to provide mall owners with commercial real estate services for leasing, managing, repositioning and selling enclosed regional malls. The Daniel Group is responsible for mall repositioning projects, including The Coventry Mall in Pottstown, PA and the Town Mall in Westminster, MD. Metro Commercial also is working on a number of repositioning projects, including the de-malling of the 525,000 sq.ft. Camp Hill Mall in Camp Hill, PA, the redevelopment of the 350,000 sq.ft. Cinnaminson Mall in Cinnaminson, NJ and the repositioning of the Philadelphia Gallery II, where Metro Commercial negotiated a 30,000 sq.ft. location for Old Navy and a 130,000 sq.ft. location for Burlington Coat Factory.

Kushner Cos. (973-822-0050) has created a new affiliate, Kushner Properties, to supervise activities within the company’s expanding commercial portfolio. The affiliate will coordinate all management and leasing of the company’s office, industrial and retail property, which now totals more than 7.5 million sq.ft. Donny Furer, director of commercial management, and Ira Bloom, director of commercial leasing, are heading the new division. Approximately 40 additional employees comprise the division, most of whom are based in the field, at or near the company’s 33 office, retail and industrial properties in CT, NJ and NY. Kushner is a diversified real estate organization based in Florham Park, NJ. In addition to its commercial portfolio, the company owns and manages more than 24,000 apartment units.
