L.J. Melody & Co. (713-787-1910) named Philip Ward as managing director of its Boston, MA office. Ward’s responsibilities will include management oversight for the company’s New England production operation and new business development focused on major accounts. Prior to joining L.J. Melody, Ward worked with CIGNA Investment Management, where he served as senior managing director in charge of the real estate investment department. He was responsible for all real estate activities conducted in both CIGNA Investment Management and Times Square Real Estate Investors.

Net Lease Capital Advisors (603-598-8560) hired Rick Liljedahl as part of the company’s advisory team. His responsibilities will include expanding the firm’s offerings, structuring acquisitions of assets for investors and for property sellers seeking replacement investment property. He also will be responsible for structuring acquisitions, including one-off and programmatic, multiple-property acquisitions; analyzing sellers’ tax outcomes and offering tax deferral alternatives. Prior to joining Net Lease, Liljedahl was responsible for all capital markets transactions at Konover, including interim and permanent loans, lender and investment relationships, sales, acquisitions and portfolio management. He also formed an asset management group to review and track certain assets and helped introduce creative finance programs to the firm’s programs, including credit tenant lease financing.

The Cordano Co. (916-443-4618) hired Bill Andrews as head of their third party property management services group. Andrews will be responsible for developing and supervising all new property management accounts for the company. Prior to joining Cordano, Andrews held positions with Western Properties Trust as director of property management and Kimco Realty Corp. as western regional property manager.

Regency Centers (904-598-7000) promoted Scott Franklin to vice president of investments for the Pacific region. Based in the Walnut Creek, CA office, Franklin will be responsible for investment activity for the company along the West and East Coasts. Having joined Regency in 2002, Franklin started with the company as a senior manager of investments.
