Ronus Properties is preleasing Meyerland Plaza, a 926,908 sq.ft. center located at the intersection of Interstate 610 South and Beachnut Road in Houston, TX with an average daily traffic count of 181,000 vehicles. The center is anchored by Bed Bath & Beyond, Palais Royal, Ross Dress For Less, Old Navy, JCPenney, Stein Mart, 24 Hour Fitness, OfficeMax and Marshall’s. Opening is slated for November 2004. Phase II expansion is slated to take place during 2004. Area demographics include a population of 1,423,897 within 10 miles earning $65,086 as the average household income.

Retail Centers Southeast, Ltd. is developing a center located at the intersection of U.S. 27 and the U.S. 84 By-Pass in Bainbridge, GA. The center will be anchored by several big-box retailers, with outparcels available for restaurants and freestanding sites. Echo Real Estate Services is developing a 29,000 sq.ft. center in Burrell Township, PA. The center will be tenanted by Rite Aid, Dollar Wave and Movie Gallery. Wellington Development and Fidelis Realty Partners are proposing to develop retail sites at the intersection of FM 529 and Fry Road in Houston, TX. Eastbourne Investments acquired 16 acres in the far west submarket of Houston, as well as another 26 acres nearby. Eastbourne is working in partnership with Fidelis Realty Partners and Wellington Development. The site could hold up to 450,000 sq.ft.

Forest City Ratner Cos. is developing Quartermaster Plaza, a 540,000 sq.ft. center located at the intersection of 23rd and Oregon in Philadelphia, PA. Opening is slated for Spring 2004. The center, which will be anchored by Home Depot and BJ’s Wholesale Club, currently has 90,000 sq.ft. of space available. Cotenants will include PetsMart, Staples, A.J.
