Lease Signings


Atlantic Station, LLC (404-876-2616) signed a lease for 8,000 sq.ft. with The Improv Comedy Club at Atlantic Station, a 138-acre environmental redevelopment of the former Atlantic Steel Mill located at the intersection of Interstates 75 and 85 in Atlanta, GA. Opening for Atlantic Station is slated for 2004. The development is ultimately projected to include 12 million sq.ft. of retail, office, residential and hotel space, as well as 11 acres of public parks. The company also signed a lease for 10,000 sq.ft. with Copeland’s Cheesecake Bistro at Atlantic Station. Tenants at the development include Dillard’s, Regal Theatre, Publix, Metropolitan Deluxe, Moe’s Southwest Grill, Claddagh Irish Pub, Mama Fu’s Noodle House, California Pizza Kitchen, Marble Slab Creamery, Rosa Mexicano and Eye Gallery.

Divaris Real Estate, Inc. (704-442-1988) signed a lease for 2,290 sq.ft. with Simply Fashions at the Shoppes at Lakewood located at 2000 Chapel Hill Road in Durham, NC. Cotenants include Maxway, Food Lion and Dollar General. The company currently operates over 230 stores.

Ramco-Gershenson Properties Trust (248-350-9900) signed a lease with Beall’s Department Store for a 31,700 sq.ft. Coastal Home store to occupy former Jacobson’s space at its Southbay Shopping Center located at the intersection of U.S. 41 and Blackburn Point Road in Osprey, FL. Coastal Home is a new concept for Beall’s and features furniture and accessories with a coastal Florida motif. Opening is slated for November.

Sigma National, Inc. (804-320-6100) signed a lease for 3,200 sq.ft. with the Movie Gallery at The Shoppes at Bell Creek located in Mechanicsville, VA. The company also signed a lease for 124,600 sq.ft. with Target at The Shoppes at Stratford Hills in Richmond, VA.

Sugarland Properties, Inc. (713-523-7900) signed a lease for 8,702 sq.ft. with The Bombay Co., Inc. for a Bombay/BombayKIDS combo store at Sugar Land Town Square, a 32-acre, $200 million lifestyle center development located at the intersection of U.S. 59 and Highway 6 in Sugar Land, TX. The center’s cotenants include P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, Cafe Express, Jamba Juice, Japaneiro’s Sushi Bistro and Latin Grill.

Metro Commercial Real Estate, Inc. (856-222-3013) signed a lease for 1,533 sq.ft. with Moorestown Custom Cleaners at Moorestown Commons, a 94,676 sq.ft. center located at the intersection of Marne Highway and Youngs Road in Moorestown, NJ. The center is anchored by Acme and Equity Bank. The property currently has four vacancies available totaling 8,747 sq.ft.

Zell Commercial Real Estate Services, Inc. (602-248-0600) signed a lease for 1,480 sq.ft. with Scrapbook Mania at Garden Lakes Centre located at 10720 West Indian School Road in Phoenix, AZ. Scrapbook Mania specializes in scrapbook supplies, instruction classes for scrapbooking and open workshops.

Trammell Crow Co. (407-618-1300) signed a lease for 25,000 sq.ft. with Bed Bath & Beyond at Gateway Plaza, a 207,373 sq.ft. center located on State Road 46 in Sanford, FL. The lease is for 15 years at an aggregate rent of $3.1 million. The center is currently 73% occupied. Opening is slated for January. Bed Bath & Beyond currently operates six locations in central FL and 41 throughout the state.
