Simon Property Group, Inc. is developing a 750,000 sq.ft. center. Opening is slated for Summer 2005. The land is located at the southwest corner of Interstate 35 and State Highway 29 in Georgetown, TX. Many of the stores will be new to the area, including Target, Kohl’s and Bed Bath & Beyond.

McClinton & Co., Inc. is developing Midtown, a 325,000 sq.ft. center located in Montgomery, AL. The project is situated on a land area of 42 acres at the intersection of Interstate 85 and Ann Street. The development will be anchored by a 203,000 sq.ft. Wal*Mart Supercenter and has an additional 100,000 sq.ft. of retail space. Restaurant and office outparcels will also be available.

Jim Wilson & Associates, Inc. is planning to develop an import market with furniture, foods and wines, and a name-brand and designer apparel store at EastChase, a center located south of Interstate 85 and east of Taylor Road in eastern Montgomery, AL. The company is developing a Cost Plus World Market, Ross Dress For Less store and a PetsMart. More development is expected at the Plaza portion of EastChase. About 30,000 sq.ft. of space for small businesses will be available. The company is negotiating with sporting goods and shoe stores and a hair salon.

Packard Development is developing Morrills Corner, a 150,000 sq.ft. center located at the intersection of Route 100 and Forest Avenue in Portland, ME. The center will be supermarket-anchored. Area demographics include a population of 131,280 within seven miles earning $51,991 as the average household income. The center has spaces available of 5,000 sq.ft.; 7,000 sq.ft.; two spaces of 10,000 sq.ft.; 17,830 sq.ft. and 20,000 sq.ft. The company also is developing a center located on Route 44 in Raynham, MA with an average daily traffic count of 27,000 vehicles. The development will be anchored by Lowe’s Home Improvement and Longhorn Steakhouse, with a proposed 18,000 sq.ft. of additional retail. Area demographics include a population of 70,048 within five miles earning $59,007 as the average household income.

De Rito Partners, Inc. is preleasing Maricopa Fiesta Shopping Center, a center located at the intersection of the Arizona 347 and 238 in Maricopa, AZ. Eventually, the center will include 20 shops and will be anchored by a 54,000 sq.ft. Bashas’ supermarket. The company also signed leases with Subway, H&R Block, Postal Shipping Specialists and Great Clips. In addition, leases were signed with a dry cleaner, nail salon and a chiropractor. Small shops are slated to open during April, while Bashas’ will open during July.

Bayer Properties is preleasing The Summit Front Range, a 450,000 sq.ft. lifestyle center located at the intersection of Harmony and Ziegler Roads in Fort Collins, CO. The center will be tenanted by Wild Oats Market. The center also will house a Dillard’s department store.

The Weitzman Group is preleasing an 18-acre site in northwest San Antonio, TX. The development is still in the design phase. However, the project is expected to encompass nearly 200,000 sq.ft. The site is north of the Academy Sports & Outdoor store, which is located at 7555 N.W. Loop 410 at Military Drive. Weitzman is seeking anchor stores ranging from 25,000 sq.ft. to 50,000 sq.ft. Area retail includes Wal*Mart Supercenter and Lowe’s Home Improvement.

Mid America Real Estate Group is marketing a 34,000 sq.ft. retail development in the 75-acre New Berlin City Center near the intersection of National Avenue and Moorland Road in New Berlin, WI. The company has signed letters of intent with retailers, including national tenants, as well as full-service and quick casual restaurants. Plans call for another 15,000 sq.ft. of retail space to be built at the intersection of National and Coffee. That phase will be completed by early Spring. The site is being developed by Investors Equity, LLC, which is also building 25,000 sq.ft. of office space on a site just south of the retail development.

The center is currently tenanted by Wal*Mart, Fashion Bug, Dollar Tree, Frank’s Pizza, Pet Valu, Radio Shack, K-Nails, GNC, Dunkin’ Donuts, Cole Vision, Sears Hardware, a hair salon, jewelry store and a Chinese buffet. The site has an average daily traffic count of 18,780 vehicles. Opening is slated for Summer. Area demographics include a population of 20,067 within three miles earning $66,428 as the average household income.
