Majestic Realty Co. (562-948-4375) announced that John R. Burroughs has been
named president of Commerce Construction Co., L.P., the full-service
construction firm owned by Majestic Realty Co. As president, he will be
responsible for all operations, including industrial, retail, commercial and
institutional projects, as well as for overseeing tenant improvements at
Majestic-owned properties. Burroughs will oversee Commerce Construction’s
headquarters in City of Industry, CA, as well as the firm’s regional offices in
Las Vegas, NV; Atlanta, GA and Aurora, CO. Previously, Burroughs was executive
vice president for the company, during which time he was responsible for
managing construction for the 3.3-million sq.ft. California Commerce Center IV
industrial development in Ontario, CA, as well as the 2.5 million sq.ft.
Majestic Spectrum South industrial development and the 500,000 sq.ft. Chino
Spectrum Marketplace retail development. Prior to joining Commerce Construction,
Burroughs was construction manager for The Taubman Co., overseeing a $150
million expansion and renovation at The Mall at Short Hills in Short Hills, NJ.
He also served as director of construction for Trammell Crow Co. in Orange
County, CA. Combined Properties, Inc. (202-293-4500) announced that Albert Carrol joined the company as director of West Coast acquisitions. He brings nearly 15 years of commercial real estate experience to the company and will be responsible for identifying individual and/or portfolios of properties for acquisition in CA. This is a new position for the company. Carrol was most recently affiliated with CNA Enterprises as director of acquisitions and leasing, overseeing a 3.2 million sq.ft. portfolio in an eight-state territory. He has also worked for Coventry Real Estate Partners as asset and acquisition/disposition manager; Westrust America as a senior acquisitions manager; Chadwick, Saylor & Co. as vice president of real estate and Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. as portfolio manager. The International Council of Shopping Centers (646-728-3497) announced that Beth Gorin of the Bergen County Economic Development Corp. has been appointed to the position of New York/Northern New Jersey State Alliance Co-Chair for the 2004-2005 term. Gorin has been an active member in the ICSC since 1996. She will be responsible for assisting the association in educating both the public and private sector about ICSC’s Alliance program. Fameco Real Estate (610-834-8000) announced that Diane Weinberg joined the company as executive vice president. She will oversee the brokerage services division and the overall operation of the Fameco organization, including business planning, development of new client relationships, corporate communications, training and recruitment. Weinberg was formerly a managing director at Insignia/ESG, where she developed and implemented the firm’s strategic services provider program to expand its real estate services delivery platform to secondary markets. The company also announced that Adam Kohler has joined the company as a partner. |
