Benihana, Inc.
(305-593-0770) is currently developing teppanyanki restaurants in Coral Gables,
FL, replacing a unit in Kendall, FL and Carlsbad, CA, which will bring the total
number of Benihana company-owned restaurants to 57.
Aeropostale, Inc.
(646-485-5398) plans to open a store at Clifton Park Center, located in
Clifton, NJ during May. The apparel chain will open a 3,500 sq.ft. store at the
660,000 sq.ft. mall. The company currently operates 460 stores throughout 41
states.
Raving Brands
(404-355-5400) plans to overhaul and expand its PJ’s Coffee concept
nationwide. The company also plans to open two new restaurant concepts within
the next year or two. The company has franchised 104 Moe’s Stores, five
Mama Fu’s restaurants, 40 P.J.’s Coffee Shops and 130 Planet
Smoothies.
Cinemark USA
(972-665-1000) plans to open a 14-screen movie theater at Cielo Vista Mall
in El Paso, TX, replacing the mall’s existing theater.
JCPenney Co., Inc.
(972-431-1000) will open a 105,000 sq.ft. two-level full-line
department store at Greenbrier Mall in Chesapeake, VA during Spring 2005.
The store will replace the existing Dillard’s store.
Mama Fu’s
(404-355-5400) is opening 44 franchised locations throughout FL. The company
recently struck a deal with Wendy’s International to open several dozen
restaurants in Orlando, FL with additional stores Tampa, Jacksonville,
Gainsville and other southern FL cities. More than 50 restaurants are scheduled
to open this year.
Meijer, Inc.
(616-453-6711) is planning to build a 210,000 sq.ft. Meijer store at the
intersection of Harvey Street and Sternberg Road in Fruitport Township, MI. The
company also plans to build four other Meijer stores throughout MI this year and
eight additional stores in 2005.
Jersey Mike’s Subs
(732-282-2323) plans to open 10 sandwich shops throughout Monmouth and Ocean
Counties in NJ. The company currently operates 265 shops. Most of the company’s
stores are located outside of NJ, including 90 in NC, 35 in OH and 21 in GA.
Ingles
(828-669-2941) plans to open two supermarkets during fiscal 2004. One of the
stores will be leased and the other one owned. The company also plans to
complete one major remodel/expansion, add approximately eight fuel stations to
existing store sites and acquire six store sites for future expansion.

Raleigh, NC location is expected to open in 2005. The company is also looking to
open stores in Orange, Wake and Durham Counties, NC. Krystal currently operates
425 restaurants throughout the Southeast.
Spiegel
(630-986-8800) is planning to open seven Eddie Bauer stores throughout
six states and as many as 10 stores elsewhere. The company is looking to open
the stores at Alderwood Mall in Lynwood, CO; Colorado Springs, CO; South
Windsor, CT; Troutdale, OR; Lee, MA; Short Pump and Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Wireless Zone
(860-632-9494) plans to open its 200th store in the FL market. The wireless
retailer will open six stores in FL and four more in VA. The company currently
operates stores throughout 14 states. Plans call for 250 openings by the end of
the year.
Eckerd Corp.
(800-325-3737) is planning to open three Denver, CO-area drug stores. The metro
area stores will be located at 3490 West Alameda Avenue in Denver, CO; 8134
South Kipling Parkway in Littleton and 3650 35th Avenue in Evans. The company
plans to open 20 stores throughout CO this year. Eckerd Corp. currently operates
2,775 stores throughout 23 states.
Target Corp.
(612-304-6073) is looking to acquire land on Wilson Avenue Southwest in Wyoming,
MI to construct a 124,000 sq.ft. store. The company currently operates 51 stores
throughout the state and 1,500 stores nationwide.
Esprit
(212-401-1122) plans to open stores throughout New York, NY next year. The
company is looking to sign leases for six stores by the end of the year in the
New York metro area, Manhattan and at surrounding upscale malls and outlet
centers. The company currently operates 600 stores worldwide. Shaw’s Supermarkets, Inc. (508-378-7211) recently opened its 200th store, with a location in Hillsborough, NH.
Team Up Sports

in Danville, CA. The store features youth league-oriented merchandise. The
company is seeking other locations in the San Francisco Bay area of CA. New Castle Furniture Outlet (765-529-3202) opened a store at 2010 South Memorial Drive in New Castle, IN. The company also opened a Portland Furniture Outlet at the Jay Garment Antique Mall on 500 South Meridian Street. The company also acquired a 25,000 sq.ft. warehouse in Richmond and plans on opening more stores in other nearby locations.
Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corp.

Southgate Shopping Center, in Chambersburg, PA, during August. The 56,000
sq.ft. store was formerly occupied by Ames.The company is also opening at
West Ridge Plaza, in Bristol, TN during September. The 45,000 sq.ft.
store was formerly occupied by Wal*Mart.
Cheesecake Factory, Inc.
(818-871-3000) plans to open 16 restaurants during fiscal 2004.
The company plans to open four restaurants during the first half of the year,
seven restaurants during the third quarter and as many as five during the fourth
quarter.
Tiffany & Co.
(212-755-8000) is planning to open its first shop in MN, a 5,400 sq.ft. location
at the Galleria in Edina. The store is slated to open this Summer. The
company typically opens three to five stores a year throughout the U.S.
Zyng Asian Grill

many as eight locations throughout the Pittsburgh, PA market. The company is
also looking to open restaurants in Cleveland, OH.

Qdoba Restaurant Corp.
(303-629-5000) is planning to open seven Qdoba Mexican Grill
locations in Lake Charles, Lafayette, Baton Rouge and Hammond, LA.
Bassett Furniture
(276-629-6000) is planning to open two stores throughout the Atlanta, GA market.
Overall, the company plans on opening five stores throughout Atlanta during the
coming four years.
Panera Bread

Fred Meyer Jewelry store, a fuel station, a drive-thru pharmacy
window and a photo lab.
Wal*Mart Stores, Inc.

Supercenter in Mukwonago, WI. The building would sit in the village’s
Gateway district near Interstate 43 and Highway 83. The company currently
operates 30 Supercenters throughout WI and 1,400 throughout the U.S. The stores
range in size from 99,000 sq.ft. to 220,000 sq.ft.
Granite City Food & Brewery

open a restaurant in Lincoln, NE in March and a location in Maple Grove, MN
during the Summer. The company currently operates six restaurants featuring
