Mid-America Real Estate Corp. (630-954-7300) has been selected to exclusively represent Trader Joe’s in its expansion into the Chicago, IL area during the coming two years. The expansion calls for at least five stores in the area by the end of 2005, including locations in Streeterville, River North and South Loop neighborhoods, with suburban stores planned for Evanston and Oak Park. Typical stores range from 10,000 sq.ft. to 14,000 sq.ft.

 

Northern Realty Group (312-346-4000) is exclusively representing AMC Theatres in its expansion throughout the Chicago, IL metropolitan area. The company is seeking sites of 16 to 20 acres.

 

New England Retail Properties (860-529-9000) is representing Atlanta Bread Co. in its search for spaces of 4,300 sq.ft. to 4,800 sq.ft. throughout CT; western and Framingham, MA. The company, which operates 200 locations nationwide, prefers spaces in freestanding and endcap locations. The company also is representing Tractor Supply Co. in its expansion throughout CT. Tractor Supply Co. currently operates 430 stores throughout 30 states.

The 400-unit chain is seeking growth opportunities during the coming 18 months. Preferred sites include freestanding locations, strip centers, downtown areas and endcaps with spaces of 1,200 sq.ft. to 1,800 sq.ft.

(856-222-3013) has been awarded management contracts for Woodcrest Center, a 115,000 sq.ft. center located in Cherry Hill, NJ and Wheaton Plaza, a 93,000 sq.ft. center located in Millville, NJ. Woodcrest Center is located on Haddonfield-Berlin Road. The center has 18 tenants, including the 25,652 sq.ft. Subzi Manzi supermarket. Wheaton Plaza is located on Route 47. The center is anchored by Acme supermarket and is tenanted by Chow’s Express, Mandee’s, Gullo’s Hair Salon and Hard Times Restaurant.
