(626-799-9898) is planning to open approximately 36 fast food Chinese restaurants throughout the Puget Sound area of WA during the coming two to five years, part of the company’s national expansion which is looking to add 160 restaurants this year, 200 during 2005 and 300 during 2006. After adding six to eight restaurants in WA this year, the company is looking to open 15 statewide in 2005 and 30 to 35 restaurants in 2006. Cabela’s, Inc. (308-254-5505) is planning to open a 175,000 sq.ft. Cabela’s store in Buda, TX. The project is located at the intersection of Loop 4 and Interstate 35. The store will be accompanied by other commercial development, such as hotels and restaurants. Most of the company’s stores include such features as waterfalls, mountain replicas, aquariums, and banquet and meeting facilities. Cabela’s sells footwear, clothing, and gear for fishing, hunting, camping, and other outdoor activities.
Kirkland’s, Inc. (731-668-2444) is planning to open 50 to 55 stores this year throughout new and existing markets.
