Who's Opening & Where Redner’s Markets, Inc. (610-926-3700) is planning to open a Redner’s Warehouse Market at Oxford Square, a center located on Route 10 in Oxford, PA. The 55,000 sq.ft. store is slated to open during November. The company currently operates approximately 35 warehouse club-style supermarkets under the Warehouse Markets banner and a dozen Quick Shoppe convenience stores throughout eastern NY and eastern PA.
Pet Supermarket, Inc. (954-351-0834) opened stores in Strongsville and Richmond Heights, OH. The company currently operates 99 stores and plans to continue to add about 15 percent to its store count every year. The chain is looking to expand throughout the Southeast and OH markets, with plans to open in the Cleveland, OH area. Tween 1, Inc. (972-869-7620) is planning to open two Between $1 and Five stores in the Dallas, TX area. Everything in the store is priced from $1 to $5 and includes items such as party supplies, room décor, jewelry, candy, hair items, hats, socks, footwear, school supplies, toys, novelty items and giftware. The store targets shoppers from ages seven to 14.
Sally Beauty Co., Inc. (940-898-7608) is planning to open stores from 1,200 sq.ft. to 1,800 sq.ft. in centers of at least 100,000 sq.ft. anchored by supermarkets, discount stores or department stores. The company currently operates 3,000 stores throughout the U.S., including Puerto Rico, the U.K., Germany, Japan, Mexico and Canada.
Payless ShoeSource (785-233-5171) is planning to open a test store in Japan for its first expansion into the Asian market. The company also is looking to open a new store concept, which features new colors, wood flooring and renewed emphasis on customer service. Fatburger Corp. (310-319-1850) is planning to open Fatburger restaurants throughout AZ, CA, OR, UT and WA. Other territories will be developed by franchisees or joint ventures, with partners willing to open a minimum of 10 Fatburger locations in their market areas. The stores range in size from 1,200 sq.ft. to 2,000 sq.ft. The company currently operates 48 company-owned restaurants and 24 franchised locations, as well as one founder-owned restaurant.
