Real Estate Professionals Making The News Steve & Barry’s University Sportswear (516-267-7359) was presented with the 2005 Hot Retailer Award during the annual ICSC Conference in Las Vegas, NV. According to a survey conducted by the ICSC of over 3,000 mall managers and marketing directors, Steve & Barry’s was selected as one of five retailers whom they would prefer to have as a tenant in their mall.
Equity One, Inc. (305-947-1664) promoted Alan Merkur to senior vice president and director of transactions. Merkur previously served as the company’s vice president and head of acquisitions, and will continue to report to the company’s president and CEO in his expanded role. Merkur has over 30 years of experience in all aspects of real estate investment, management and finance. Prior to joining the company, Merkur owned and operated Dartmouth Realty Corp.
Coldwell Banker/George Realty (626-289-6660) hired Ted Crisell to lead the growth of the commercial sales, leasing and investment division of the company. Crisell has over 30 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry. His resume includes all phases of commercial, from leasing and development of major malls and power centers nationally and internationally to directing real estate for a division of General Foods and U.S. Dollar Stores. |
