Real Estate Professionals Making The News 7-Eleven, Inc. (214-828-7111) appointed David Littwitz as the director of field real estate. He will be responsible for new store development for the U.S. and Canada. In addition, Littwitz will work closely with other real estate development companies to find locations for 7-Eleven stores across the two countries. Before joining 7-Eleven, Littwitz began his own company, Littwitz Investments, Inc., a Houston, TX-based real estate development company that specialized in the acquisition and redevelopment of retail and/or mixed-use commercial properties. From 1999 to 2000, Littwitz worked at Equiva Services, a joint venture of Shell Oil, Texaco and Saudi Aramco, where he served as director of East Coast real estate.
NAI Hiffman (630-932-1234) hired James Farrey as senior vice president in the firm’s Oakbrook Terrace, IL office. He will specialize in both tenant and product representation of retail space. Prior to joining the company, Farrey was a managing partner at Blattis & Schnur Realty in Chicago, IL, where he specialized in tenant representation and expanded their roster of regional and national clients. Farrey has experience in commercial leasing and business development, as well as property underwriting and mortgage finance structures.
DeBartolo Holdings, LLC (813-676-0071) hired Ginger Simoens as development coordinator. She will assist the managers and officers with various projects as the team develops premium retail and mixed-use projects nationwide. Prior to joining DeBartolo, Simoens was a project manager with Territory, Inc. in Las Vegas, NV.
Urdang Capital Management (610-818-4692) hired Ralph L. Godwin Jr. as senior vice president of acquisitions. Godwin will head the firm’s new South East Regional Acquisitions office, which will be located in Charlotte, NC. Godwin will focus on acquisition opportunities in the southeastern U.S. and will have responsibility for the company’s real estate investments and portfolio activity. Godwin has more than 20 years of real estate investment experience with Eastdil Realty, Jones Lang Wooten, Gruntal & Co. and Landauer. Most recently, he owned his own real estate investment company, Centurion Realty Partners, LP. Urdang provides real estate investment management services primarily to institutional investors. The firm manages both private equity investments and portfolios of real estate securities.
