Konover South, LLC (954-370-8999) announced that William Powell has joined the company as vice president of asset management. In this role, Powell will focus on enhancing property management systems and operations. Additional responsibilities will include implementing a more formal asset management department for the company, which will include budgeting, leasing and financial performance reviews. Powell previously worked for Edens & Avant as regional director of property management and as an asset manager with property responsibilities throughout FL, OH and New England for a cumulative portfolio totaling over six million sq.ft. of retail centers. Prior work experience also includes directing property management and leasing staffs in FL and NC. Powell also spent five years negotiating leases nationwide.

 

99 Cents Only Stores, Inc. (323-980-8145) hired Norm Plotkin as senior vice president of store development. Plotkin was with Factory 2-U Stores, Inc. from 1998 through 2004, where he served as CEO. Prior to that, Plotkin was executive vice president of store development, human resources and general counsel.

 

CB Richard Ellis, Inc. (602-735-5555) promoted Jerome E. Mason and David M. Carder to vice presidents of the company’s Phoenix, AZ office. Mason is director of energy services for CBRE’s corporate services group and most recently was instrumental in the disposition of a portfolio of 22 gas stations in Maricopa County, AZ on behalf of Shell Oil Products U.S. His primary focus in providing real estate solutions to corporations in the energy and chemical industries. Carder is an industrial properties specialist and specializes in pro forma analysis for investments, rehabilitation projects and building development.

 

NAI Olympia Partners (317-264-9400) hired Amanda Rumler as an associate with the investment properties division. Rumler comes to NAI Olympia with over five years of experience in commercial real estate. She has worked in marketing, investment property sales, operations, investor relations and team development.

 

Coldwell Banker Commercial (973-496-5197) promoted Fred Schmidt to senior vice president of business development. Schmidt previously held the role of vice president of business development. In his new role, Schmidt will oversee the delivery of commercial real estate services for more than 450 Coldwell Banker Commercial affiliate offices and their sales associates. In addition, he will continue to find business development opportunities for the company.
