Real Estate Professionals Making The News Katz & Associates Corp. (845-735-6666) promoted John Meyerdierks to senior vice president in charge of the western region. Meyerdierks will oversee all of the real estate activities for the company’s clients in the western U.S., including Linens ‘N Things, Cost Plus World Market, Levitz, Loehmann’s and Party City, along with numerous other retail chains.
Bieri Co. (313-962-2800) hired Alexander Bieri as a real estate and marketing project manager. In this role, Bieri will contribute to retail operations and business consulting. His primary focus is on retail analysis and site selection, plus landlord and tenant initiatives. The company also hired Gregory R. McDuffee as a senior consultant. McDuffee specializes in strategic planning, public/private sector partnerships, market/financial analysis, real estate site selection and acquisition, plus community and faith-based development. KBA Lease Services (888-750-4500) appointed Jim Conover as director of strategic development. As director, Conover will be responsible for broadening the company’s North American client base. Conover comes to KBA with 13 years experience, having co-founded Lease Compliance Associates, a national provider of occupancy cost audits for corporate and retail tenants. Conover will be based in the company’s headquarters in Woodbridge, NJ.
GVA Williams (212-716-3500) hired Stephen Berliner as executive vice president. Berliner will be responsible for brokerage-related service activities, ranging from recruitment of new brokers to strategic planning, marketing and project management. Berliner joins the company from CB Richard Ellis, where he led CBRE’s downtown New York, NY office and directed more than 40 brokerage, sales and support staff. He also played an active production role, providing tenant and landlord brokerage and advisory services. Berliner previously served as the director of agency services for Grubb & Ellis.
